CAT/GRIZ T-SHIRTS

Post by liqud360 » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:10 am

Does anyone have an idea as to cat fans that are making t-shirts for this years Cat\griz game. I had always wanted to get my hands on one of those "TAKE A GRIZ...AND WIPE IT WITH A HIPPIE" t-shirts from about 7 years ago. Up here in kalispell, all I can find is griz crap! So, any news of cool parody t-shirts would be appreciated.

The T-Shirt I saw being sold at the NAU game was "you can't spell dUMb without UM".

I have to admit that the Take a Griz...and wipe with a hippie was my all-time favorite shirt. But those were the shirts from 1997. I don't know where one of those could be found.

Got one in my closet. I should probably put in some type of climate controlled environment like they do with the Declaration of Independence. It truly is one of my prize possessions.

In fact, I bought 2. Wore one to death, and preserved the other.

the you can't spell dUMb without UM is really old. my mom is class of '65 they had signs at games with that on it. I liked ours of a griz bent over and Bobcat sticking a FB up his rear with the "screw the Griz" logo. kind of offensive to my dad, but hell my mom loved it!!! guess calling UM the dancing academy just doesn't have the same vigor as "screw the griz".

:D

Someone should really reprint the 1997 shirts. They were a classic. :D I still have the 2002 "Spank the Griz" and 2003 "Can da Griz" shirts. Those 2 were winners and I'm holding on to them. The 2005 shirts are now on sale. The website is http://www.catgriz2005.com/ and they're also available at the Crystal Bar.

I don't care who are you are that is a funny shirt. Even a lot of us Griz fans would love to wipe our asses w/a hippy.

And one of the best I've seen from the Griz would be at Hysell's last game. It simply said, "Thanks for the memories Cliff." I got a huge chuckle out of that one.

Where were the dUMb shirts being sold? I would assume they will be there this weekend as well.

I just saw a couple of students walking through the booster tailgate selling them.

I think while I wasn't looking, my wife bought one.

The shirts they were selling last weekend were blue with yellow lettering. They were selling them for $10 each and lots were being sold. They were out of XXL and so they said they'd come back for the Sac State game with a bunch more.

I know the guy who made the Take a Griz shirts and he has hinted to me that he plans on bringing them back for the 2007 season. Kind of a ten year anniversery thing.

As for the Griz shirts the funniest and most painful was the 2001 shirts that had a Girz on a Cat and it said Sweet 16, she's finally legal. Funny but painful.

The 16 shirt

Post by H-townGriz » Tue Nov 01, 2005 4:11 pm

I am the one who made up the 16 shirts and still get lots of props today for that. I also loved the "wipe with a hippie" shirts.

Still have my '99 "the griz are going down" shirt, showing a griz "going down" on a bobcat. Try only to wear it to games, but its getting some holes :( .

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

while the griz did absolutely blow out the cats in bozo that year, that shirt sounds pretty clever
