I have to believe that NAU, and namely Mr. Murieta, re-gained some confidence in the MSU game. Seems like with Souers being an ex-Griz coach and having a home game, that upsetting UM might be in the stars for NAU this week. It would certainly take some of the sting out of a disappointing season for them.Hell's Bells wrote:yeah i hope you guys dont overlook nau like we did *guilty*Born2BaGriz wrote:And they are two of the worst road trips to make. The trip to NAU sucks.iaafan wrote:UM has a great opportunity to prove it can play on the road. I don't know the last time UM won three straight on the road. They've played two road games out of eight so far this year and now have three roadies finish the year on.

Hello? Is this on??? <tapping microphone>...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
The ONLY SURE THING IN THE BIG SKY CONFERENCE IS THE GRIZZLIES BEATING JEROME SAUERS AND NAU.
He has NEVER beaten them and he NEVER will.
The problem is that Jerome WANTS to beat the Griz so bad, he gets them tighter than a Catholic nun leading up to the game. There have been numerous times in years past where the Jacks had superior talent to the Griz but NAU ALWAYS pisses down their legs so badly in the first half, they dig themselves too big a hole to climb out of.
I have no doubt that NAU will be so tight again this week that you couldn't stick a raisin up their arses and the Griz will win by 20+. The good news, I guess, is that it will seal Sauers' fate in Flagstaff and maybe they'll get a decent replacement who can take them to the next level on a more consistent basis...

On the D-ends thing, wouldn't it be great to run no-huddle against your D, to keep those 2 fresh DE's on the sidlines??Born2BaGriz wrote:Plus, we have four great D ends who are fast and can stay fresh. Also, you lack of D will come into play. It will be a fun one to watch I'm quite sure of it.
I almost gave up hope on our D after the PSU game, but the switch back to the 4-3 looked very promising last saturday, and will only continue to improve IMO. I know I have been harping on this point, but any time your D is on the field 40 out of 60 minutes of a game and you still win, it is an accomplishment, no matter the opponent.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
