Weekly Prediction Thread: Cats at EWU

Post by coachouert » Sun Nov 03, 2013 4:07 pm

It wasn't pretty, but it was another win and I'll take it. The only downside of this weekend is we have a new leader at the top of the board and it's none other than the no-talent ass clown, rtb who holds a two point lead over speedCAT. Let's get it together, people, rtb's ego is already gigantic and we don't need him winning this thing to inflate it any more.

As always, make sure to go to http://bobcatnation.com/coachschallenge" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and submit your scores no later than one hour before kickoff. Once you have submitted your scores, come on back here and talk about what you're thinking. As we creep further into the season, I do ask that people try to keep their discussions civil as the trolls start to wake up from their hibernation. Good luck and as always GO CATS!

My prediction:
Cats: 41
Eagles: 37

This is going to be a slobberknocker I think with both offenses putting up a lot of points. I think in the end, the Cats are able to keep a balanced attack and force Adams into some mistakes. Here's to hoping for a good, injury free game and a Bobcat victory.

If its close in the 4th qtr, we'll lose

MSU by 2 scores

48-35

We have got to control the LOS. NO EXCUSES. GET IT DONE. There is absolutely no reason our lines cannot do this.

The Cats make marginal QBs look All-World. Couple that with the fact that MSU doesn't (or can't) tackle ANYONE, and we're looking at a total ass-whoopin.

A championship caliber team doesn't go toe-to-toe with the conference bottom feeders. We might be looking at 3 straight losses here fellas. Fire away...

EWU 49
MSU 23

well.......we gonna pitch it!

cats 51
Ewu 27

EWU has 3+ turnovers

cats get up and run it down their throat keeping shoota and the jumpballs off the field.

Oh and then they will blame the loss on injuries. Bank on it

While both teams are capable of big scores, I think MSU controls the ball and frustrates ew into some mistakes. I'm going with MSU 35 - ew 24 maintaining MSU dominance on the red turf.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

msu won't hold ewu under 30 and I'm not sure ewu will hold msu under 30. Might be who has the ball last wins. Hopefully an error free game on both sides of the ball.

Let's face it the defense is not as good as last year. The Eagles call of the dogs in the 4th and still score 45. We give up on the run by halftime to try and keep pace but to no avail!

EWU scored 42 against the griz, and our pass defense is much better than theirs.

Hopefully the Cats find a way to slow down Cupp just like they did Kaufmann last year. If they can keep EWU's score in the 30s they will win.

I don't like predicting scores because I tend to get superstitious and stuff- anyways, one thought keeps coming into my mind is I don't want to bet against McGhee in his last stretch as a senior. I personally think we will see our best football in the next couple of weeks.

I'm having visions of our shoot-out with SacState a couple years ago. Hoping for similar ending!

That's pretty much how I think it'll go too. On eGriz I predicted 49-38. However a couple well timed turnovers or a HUGE game by McGhee could turn things around and give the Cats the advantage. Hoping that happens and EWU gets knocked down a couple pegs this weekend.

I like Alpha's predicted score... a blowout win for the Cats over the Eagles on that red atrocity of a field would be great.

We bounce back from an ugly win, to win going away. MSU 45 EWU 27 to take the lead in the conference race. I'm more worried about SUU than EWU!

If the Cats were a top 5 ranked team in the country then I would say we might have a chance, but.... Oh wait.

Jeez, people are talking like the cats are 0-9, what the hell? The Cats are pretty damn good this year, there is no reason we can't win this game.
