And I cant beleive he said that Lulay is better than DD. I figure this is what the griz will get out of the article since any mention of Lulay always turns into a comparison to Dickenson. See "Kramer wants Lulay to be like Dickenson" on egriz.

I NEVER read egriz, so I have a question. Why would it bother any griz fans that Kramer (or any other Big Sky coach) would want Lulay to be like DD?? Isn't that the ultimate compliment to DD?

For the record, I have heard Kramer talk about DD in private circles and he has nothing but the highest regard for DD. In fact, he says that DD changed his opinion about only looking for the prototype QB (ie, 6'3" or taller etc) when recruiting. He said that DD showe3d that brains and heart more than compensated for any lack of size etc.

The quote from Kramer on egriz is talking about offensive styles (short passing game, etc.) All of the posters there turned it into Kramer wishing that Lulay was as good as DD when he did not say anything close to that. DD was a great QB, I just think it is funny how every week there is a thread on egriz about Lulay and it always ends up being about who is better between the two. I would take Travis on my team any day of the week, no disrespect to DD.

I agree-I would go to battle with Travis any day. That being said, that is no disrespect to DD. He also was just a battler and found ways to win a lot of games for the griz. Frankly, I see a lot of similarities, especially in the "intangibles".
