"I'm just sick," Hauck said. "He's a great player. It makes me sick to think of him getting hurt with less than a minute left. I went up to him after the game but I didn't even know what to say to him."
Hey Boobie...here's a couple of suggestions:
1. good game
2. get well soon
3. hell of a game, hang in there son
Seriouslyit shouldn't be sooooo hard to be gracious and humble.

I think he was trying to say it's a tough situation to see any kid in. Think about when you go to visit a friend in the hospital, the first thing people typically ask when starting a conversation is "how are you doing?" It's awkward and tough to see. No one wants to see players get hurt and its tough to say anything comforting after a loss to a good player who just ended his career with less then a minute left.

Who said he wasn’t gracious and humble? "I'm sick" sounds like someone who was very upset about his injury! Is it wrong for him to feel this way?kcatz wrote:"I'm just sick," Hauck said. The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

Congrats on that win Griz. I was very surprised and would have lost $100 if I could have found any one to bet me. Thank god I didn't. Hilliard was a stud along with your line.
This is one year I wished we played the griz at the beginning of the year. It's obvious to me they are getting better and improving with each game and we, at least on defense, are definately not.

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

Ponycat,
Didn't you hear? We found and solved the problem on "D". They are on the path to dominance

Actually they seem to be kind of bi-polar like us. Started real slow and squeaked by teams they should have thumped, then seemed to come alive at ISU, then didn't look so hot against EWU, then looked very good against Polly (minus the 5 TO's, which Polly then kindly gave back 4 of them). Stopping Lex is a huge challenge and I think it's the key to beating them. Don't think they'll lose any games where he runs for 200. Still not convinced Bergquist is ready to lead them when all the chips are on the line. Portland State is the biggest game of the year for both teams at this point - should be an excellent game. Unfortunately, I'll be rooting for the Griz to deal PSU that ever-important 2nd loss...Ponycat wrote:Congrats on that win Griz.
