Re: Pickle Barrel Billings
The owner of the franchise has told me they plan to get the Billings store up and running again.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

The remodel story could be true and jibes with what it says on the building but doesn't explain why their phone was disconnected when you tried to call. Wouldn't you think they'd leave a message on an answering machine saying that we're closed for remodel, but that's par for the course in terms of how the Billings Pickle Barrel is seemingly managed.

No kidding. It's part of the Mystique that is the Orignial Pickle Barrel! Has Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives ever done an episode in MT? The original Bozeman PB is a MUST for that show.bobcat99 wrote:Who cares? Pickle Barrel to re-open in Billings on 32nd street just north of King Ave West. It is north of the Holiday Station. Dick McComish and his family are the owners. He is the head of Electrical Consultants Inc. I wish them the best of luck and I am happy it is several blocks away from my work!

Yaaay! Though I will miss the old Billings PB building... I always like the vaulted wood ceiling and the old skis and ski poles; it made it feel like a chalet. It had character.

Re: Pickle Barrel Billings
At least you can see your sandwich being freshly prepared at the Pickle Barrel. You wouldn't eat at a lot of places if you had to walk through the kitchen to get to the dining area. I guarantee you've eaten food that was prepped in much filthier kitchens by much grungier cooks. Just a thought...BearCat wrote:No. The filthiness of the Bozeman Pickle Barrel and the grunginess of their employees gives it a bad name. Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

Re: Pickle Barrel Billings
I've seen the Pickle Barrel in Bozeman. If you think that is filthy, I suggest avoiding 75% of restaurants (as a guy who has worked for several).

Not going to the original Pickle Barrel because of the filthines and grunginess????? C'mmon man..... that is the epitome of the original PB!!! Its supposed to be that way and that's why its the best PB of all of the PB's.
Although on the other hand I used to love living in Bozeman but now I dont go back, beacause it is too coldy and snowy...
