Kudos to PA guy

Post by El_Gato » Sun Oct 02, 2005 5:16 pm

I'm not sure if he peruses the Nation, but did anyone else notice the change in the "First Down" calls yesterday??

MUCH BETTER, MR. P.A.! Stick with that; it was very good and the crowd was very into the game!

If we had ANY influence on the change, thanks for listening!

I was just about to post a thread on the same subject. I liked his first down much better. He did a pretty good job overall last Saturday. :)

And they actually played the bobcat growl (as opposed to a meow) afterwards sometimes and that gets the student side worked up!

Yeah, and he only called us the "Bozeman Bobcats" one time!
I kept waiting to hear what the “Missoula Griz” score was throughout the game. We got a complete run down of all the MLB scores, despite being at a college football game.
They did better with the music, they only had it blasting 3 or 4 times when the offense went to the line of scrimmage.
Overall the PA was better, but there is plenty of room for improvements.

Yeah, when I heard the Royals/Blue Jays score, I really scratched my head. Lots of folks were interested in the Sox/Yanks score but the rest of MLB?? #-o

If you want to give scores, give Big Sky and Top 10 I-A football scores; anything else is really meaningless in the middle of a Bobcat game.

PS It wouldn't have hurt to announce the Volleyball thrashing of the Griz from the night before, either. At the right moment, that would have DEFINITELY fired up the crowd.

And next time...don't play "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang, right after we get a Personal Foul penalty.

Hell, don't play celebration until AFTER we win. Bad karma/mojo type stuff there.....

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Much improved, especially the first down thing. We have some areas that can still be improved but overall, solid progress.

Hell's said this in another thread but it is worth repeating - no more ring of fire - period.
