This has nothing to do with Griz practice.....But has anyone seen the crap coverage of cat practice on ratnation? And they have the nerve to complain about the chomical. I'm out raged. I'm going to Bozo today. I'm thinking I'll check out the enemies practice. I'll let you know if I go.

Side note our friend GavinD, is excited about how good the cats will be in 2005. Funny stuff.

One good update. "The grass was wet so the WRs dropped a lot of balls."
Jagur: I finally checked in on eGriz and saw your post, pasted above. Wow... feeling a bit insecure today? Would it strike you as funny if you saw two nerdy looking adults getting nasty with each other over whose comic book collection was bigger (think SFU from last Sunday, for those into HBO)? Well, it is.

cat practice or Sushi, Sushi or cat practice hmmmm. tough call.
Why do I have to step up? I don't think it's fair that I'm considered a slacker because I won't leave work and drive from Billings to Bozeman and back everyday to watch the 'Cats practice and give a detailed review afterwards. As much as I wish I could, I simply cannot. I was just giving my opinion on where I think we stand coming into the year.

But now that I hear that you might attend, I really think I should make it to todays practice... I'll be the guy holding the big lead pipe, if you see me.

Hopefully someone can go today and give us another report - skip a little work for the benefit of us out-of-towners. Remember, pups at 2:30 and everyone at 3:30. Thanks. Right now, and I know I'm not alone when I say this, can't seem to get enough info regardless of how trivial it may seem. Except, of course, we don't need to hear about some player "with his shirt off looks like a god".

Jaeger must not have seen EFRIZ plastered with projections of how good the Griz teams will be in 2-3 years. Oh wait, wasn't there a quote from 'coach' Hauck over there on that ... Tooo funny. :)

There was a thread with a quote that went something to the effect of "We'll be good this year, but in a couple years, we'll be scary good. Teams won't want to play us." If that quote was actually by Hauck, that is hilarious. Sounds to me like he's trying to buy an extra year or 2 if they don't make the playoffs this year!

Catatac, you know better than that. The Griz will make the playoffs. No matter who the coach is.

Not necessarily whitemeat. Would I bet my life savings against it? No way. But you know as well as I that regardless of how much talent you have, it all comes down to what happens on Saturdays. How much would you have bet me if I would have offered to put money on NDSU beating you at home? There are upsets each and every year. If you would have lost 1 more game last year (And in fact there could have easily been 2 more losses if memory serves) you would have been out.

What if you end up with 2 or more losses during the NC games (Maine and Sam Houston are very real possibilities, as are all the other games you play, as evidenced by NDSU last year), and then NAU, or EWU, or MSU wins all or all but 1 of their BS games? And if Ochs gets knocked out for the season with a concussion or something, please don't be one of the ones saying, "If only Ochs wouldn't have gotten injured, we would have won it all." You guys look pretty good on paper, but nothing is guaranteed. What is your best-case worst-case scenario for the Griz record after the regular season?

I won't be one of the ones looking back and saying "what if..." I think injuries are part of the game....for every team. Ochs is good, but he's not the whole team and I really think they would be fine without him. He'll make some great plays this year, if he stays healthy. I honestly think the Griz record (irregardless of the injuries) will be around 9-2. I also think the Cats will be right up there if they can get rid of their early season set-backs.

The Griz look much better than last year and they made the playoff's last year with a rookie staff and not as much talent. That's why I'm so confident of a playoff trip. I'd like to see both schools in the playoffs, with home games.

That's what's so cool about 1-AA football and the road to the playoffs. It's all proven on the field. Regarding your opinion about the griz being "much better" than last year, I guess we'll see. My opinion is that your O-line will not be as good as last years. I also don't think your defense will be as good, but that's just my opinion. I think you'll be improved in most skill positions, barring injuries. Your kicking game will be worse, ours will be better. I think all our skill positions will be improved. Our O-Line is an unknown at this point, and I also don't think our D will be quite as good as it was last year. I am confident, however, that we will have the best D in the Sky for the 4TH YEAR IN A ROW!!! 8) 8) 8)

Hopefully we'll continue to hash these topics out at the Cal Poly game, with a couple games under our belts toadd some substance to the conversations!!!

Ab-so-fricken-lutely! I've already asked my best friend from Billings to meet me there. You'll be happy to know that he's a Cat fan as well. We go to the Cat-Griz game every year. Needless-to-say, he's been hard to handle the last couple of years. :)

Cool! bring him on over to my Trailer and I'll offer him a Beer Baron and a nice cold Fat Tire. You can have a Vienna Sausage and a luke-warm Olympia. When did your buddy attend?

LOL, that was a good one. They don't make Olympia so you'll just have to get me a cold Bud Light and a medium rare rib-eye. He went from 85-89 (or 90).

Jagur, yes, how did you desipher that?? :)

Catatac (or anyone for that matter),
What's the deal with bringing an RV to a Cat game? Do they let you park next to the stadium the night before and stay in it, partying like it's 1999? In Missoula it is virtually impossible as all the spots next to the stadium are taken for the next 10 years or so and none of the old farts are giving up their space anytime soon.

Jagur, you up for a Cat game this year. I'd hate to be the only Griz fan there. God, can you imagine? I'll show up and there's Catatac, Cardiac, and CatPride with a noose, holding up a beer behind it as bait..."honest, we won't put it around your neck, come get your beer".

We won't hold a noose up if you do a shot of Yaeger with us. We should definately get a group together for at least one game this year with all the Bobcation Nation people and EGRIZ that visit this board.

Website says Eddie Smith is down for 2-3 weeks with a pulled hamstring.

Actually CTOWM, and honestly, we'd welcome anyone to a Saturday game in Bozeman. Things get hostile during Cat-Griz (at both places by the way), but that is mostly chalked up to drunk idiots. Your typical game day in Bozeman is pretty enjoyable and very welcoming.

Whitemeat - I'm not sure about the RV situation, I just bought my camper last month. Might do some checking and post back here. Regarding Olympia - What? Of course they still make Oly. Probably always will. I have a 24 pack in my garage right now, left over as a backup case on our Smith River float. It's the ultimate "Dad's Beer", or possibly Grandpa...

Sometimes these injuries are a blessing in disguise (i.e. someone won't roll onto his knee and put him out for the year in camp). He will pretty much be our man to man cover corner so not much to learn really on scheme I wouldn't think.

Oh my, my first SUGARCOATED post, but I think in this case its true :)
