That was an awesome game. My MVP is Ricky Gatewood today. He made huge catches when we needed it most. If Lulay hadn't fumbled on the 30 or so when we were driving, he would have been the MVP in my eyes. But as it is, Ricky gets the gameball.

The defense did a great job of stiffening up when NDSU was marching in the 3rd quarter. The Cats stopped them cold on 3rd and short and 4th and short. We didn't get much pressure on their QB, our CB's had good coverage, but they shouldn't have to cover for 10 seconds, that is too much to expect.

I am uber-proud of our guys today and the croud did a number as well.

What did the stands look like? How did the whole paint it blue campaign work out?

It didn't look so blue, but we were there in full force.

It was not good. Not everyone has blue coats. Man it was cold for sept.

But we made them false start numerous times on account of the noise.

I totatlly forgot about the whole "paint it blue" thing and if I had remembered, it wouldn't have mattered. My entire focus was on staying warm today and blue wasn't part of the wardrobe. I just tried to yell as much as possible and keep moving.

well, it was a shame. Two equally matched teams and NDSU lost. I guess the spoils go to the winner. Good game Montana State, great fans, great lead up to the game and, well of course for me a disappointing finish. Congratulations. We will see you in Fargo. You have a good team. 8)

Bay Area Cat wrote:ISU is up on EWU 24-7 in the first half. After watching EWU play earlier this year, I was really impressed with their offense. ISU just might be a big part of the conference puzzle this season. There will be no easy games this season ... unless Weber and CSUS show no improvement.
Weber won today 31-23 over NAU, EWU made a game of it at least, losing to ISU 34-30. PSU Drilled UNC, 41-17. UC Davis Drilled CSUS 37-7.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
