When we have to completely change our focus to option, wide splits, angle blocking by smaller quicker linemen and a jail break defense...I think unless you have superior athletes with a lot of quickness and speed you have a really tough time scheming to beat that type of program.
With that argument Cal Poly should win the NC, or you are saying that the Cats don't have very good athletes.

We were out coached and out played. The result is a 1-2 record, and the Cats have found themselves on the ropes 3 weeks into the season.
I'm saying the kind of athletes that are found on a 1-A team...like Troy State. coaching notwithstanding. Cal Poly may just very well win the NC...but first they have to get a bid! I wonder if there is any predjudice on the playoff board against this unorthodox team from California? It seems as if we have had conjecture about the influence Hogan had with the UM's post season in the past. Maybe the powers that be in 1-AA just don't want to have to prepare for Cal Poly in the post season!

On a similar, yet slightly unrelated, subject to this thread...I was thinking last Saturday afternoon how things have changed because in the Billings television market, the 'Cats were playing a live, Saturday evening primetime, television game and the fizzles were going to be shown tape-delayed at 10:35 p.m. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!

Senor Weezer, I just love watching the natural order of the universe being restored  How many years did it take to get NDSU back into our schedule? Slight bump in the road, but we continue to build momentum as we roll through the season, and I still think this is going to be a very special team. Heck, giving away three touchdowns...
