Hey ChiOCat.....Had a great run. The first 8 miles were just fine. That last 1.3 was sort of tough.....My last kick I tried to go up a gear but just could not catch the 14 year old ahead of me.....I DID NOT finish last.....Good run.....

Nice! Was it still hot in Reno?

8 miles is always my wall too, I think I'd like a 15K cause in a half there's still 5 miles left!!

What a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday!!

Not hot.....But since the race started at 7:30 it was 38*-39*.....The sun was behind the hills to the east for the first lap, first 5K.....But it ended up topping out at probably 75*.....I had not taken the time to really train as I had hoped. Too many projects to try to finish at home..... One of the vendors were pouring FREE BEERS; Extra IPA from Great Basin (BIG YUMMY) and Fat Tire (YUMMY)......
But next Sept there will be an inaugural 50K, 32Mile, run in our Sierra Nevada Range.....LOTS of elevation. I am debating. Then I will find out just what pain feels like..............

Is being "rickrund' the healthy person's version of being rickrolled?
