I thought that there was one song for sure that fit. It was played at the appropriate times too. Each time Lulay made a big play, the song they played got the whole stadium going. Of course, anybody that knows me, knows that I can never remember the words when asked, but here goes...........
Lulaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy, Luuuuuuuuulaaaaaay, Luuuulaaaaaayy
Lulaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy, Luuuuuuuuulaaaaaay, Luuuulaaaaaayy

Music - too loud, too often, too long. We had a delay of game that I attribute to the music playing all the way to the clock hit zero. We audible almost every single play, and if there is LOUD (it was way too loud) music blasting, it makes it hard to hear the audibles.

This is one thing that always bothers me at MSU games...both the band music and the recorded music are played far too long in between plays. This is especially bad when MSU is on offense, as the home team should not be hurt by music being piped in over the PA!CelticCat wrote:Music - too loud, too often, too long. yeah and I would love to here some more music to get the crowd pumped up.beartrainer wrote:As much as I love Johnny Cash I feel that "Ring of Fire" is not an appropriate game day selection. I understand that it is being used for the sack or big hit, but I feel something more along the line of "another one bites the dust" would serve them better.
one thing i loved that the cats use to do was the band would play the looney toones theme when the other team would bring their players out onto the court/stadium...that would be a good idea

I dont know if it was too loud, maybe for all the elderly folks on that side of the stadiumCelticCat wrote:I also felt the music was too loud, and too much of it. Every single free second was filled with music, and not very good music at that.

Agreed. When the other team makes a mistake, I would appreciate a Homer - "DOH" - after the fact to demoralize the other team.barechestcat wrote:I think some sound bites would also be effective at times.
I don't remember if we did it last year, but I know two years ago we would play a bit at the first kick off that went something like "noone comes into our house and knocks us around; I mean nobody" and then they'd play a little AC/DC.
As a side note, I thought the new announcer was not very good. He finally got the first down (bobcats) thing right, but it took him till the end of the second quarter to get it right. He announced a field goal as an " extra.... (oops) Three point conversion!"

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

My biggest beef music-wise was that they'd pick up a song "mid-stream". They'd start a song on one break, then just pick it up where it left off on the next. DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE!
Speaking of audio clips to use, somehow they should work in the classic "I'M OUT" exclamation by one Kosmo Kramer. Not sure when it would be appropriate; perhaps when BH yanks one of his rotating QB's?
Or perhaps the classic "The Cat..........is out of the bag!" Although without the physical element, it might not be funny.

If we are going with Kramer quotes (Kosmo), then a nice casual "Giddyup" would be pretty sweet.

I was so upset when this happened! I couldn't believe it! I wanted to see heads roll for this little mistake. Come on music guy, you turn the music on and off in 5 second intervals.

This has ticked me off for years! I can't figure out how these problems have NEVER been fixed. We will still be talking about this problem in 5 years...MSU01 wrote: This is one thing that always bothers me at MSU games...both the band music and the recorded music are played far too long in between plays.
