ok,ok- good point. Choose what you want to believe- i do not need another reason to not like Hauck anyway! Info- quit piping up man- get your facts straight- that license plate does not belong to a coach and Hysell is not our current coach. Hysell is from the "old school" and quite frankly, has more of a right to do that. I can only bet that Kramer would not even think about doing such a thing. Don't you have to be getting on your way to Eugene?

While I'm still trying to get to a point where I can place faith in any of the stories, I do personally think that stories similar to this are a bit relevant (if true) to a certain extent. Even if done drunk (and believe me, I'm casting no stones about doing stupid things when drunk as a civilian), something as crass as pissing on a Bobcat hat (which was presumably an insult to the person who owned the hat) would be a sign of extreme immaturity, and probably isn't the kind of quality that plays well in recruiting visits.

So if proven to be true, I think these kinds of stories do matter (along with the allegations you posed as well), as they speak to the tendancies of a person who is supposedly teaching and molding the minds of young men.

This is one of the 10,000 reasons why I'm not a coach (down the list a bit from "no knowledge"). I wouldn't want my own acts of stupidity as representative of anything other than me on a personal level.

Weren't you the one talking a while back about knowing some friends who got baked directly w/David Robinson in Lewistown one year?

Will they sign up onto bobcatnation and tell their story so that all of the hack journalists can put this "myth" or "fact" to the test?

True. The difference is that people won't be taking my second hand story and making a big deal out of it and repeating it -- nobody cares about it as it's a nonissue (it was just a juicy bit of irony relating to that one thread as was of no relevance to anyone else ... unless the David-haters get hold of it  ).

As we all know, stories about Hauck do and will get repeated ad naseum. Before I personally repeat the story (say, in a conversation as to the character of another team's head coach), I like to have a high level of comfort that it is true.

You kind of picked a strange post of mine to quote, now that I look back at it.

Reading the posts, while amusing, serves to illustrate the passion that still exists to this day in this storied interstate rivalry. Rest assured, I have nothing but the utmost respect for Coach Kramer and his staff, and the Montana State University community at large. Truly, one the most rewarding aspects of being head coach at the University of Montana has been to experience the UM/MSU tradition firsthand. I congratulate you on a fine performance last weekend in Stillwater and am looking forward to the 2005 edition of the Brawl of the Wild!

Well, off to Eugene!

I'm really just messing with ya. I agree about truly confirming the "truth" to these supposed antics/words of Beavis. Personally, I'd say that all have a shred of truth but not in the complete sense.

He hates the Cats.....big deal. He's really gonna hate the Cats come November.

I've never said this in my entire life and I'm inclined to think I'll never say it again, but..........GO Ducks!

Although the more I think about it, you do have a good point that I hadn't considered before. When I posted that nugget about Robinson, I did so with the thought that he was a person so far removed from the people on this site that be repeating something like that could not possibly have any impact on him as a person. Given the growth of this site and the nature of the internet, that's probably not the safest assumption in the world to make. I normally don't like to repeat any gossip that I hear unless I have 100% proof that it's true (if there is any potential harm to a person's reputation).

But, in the event that somebody remotely close to Robinson read this site, and actually cared whether or not he had smoked pot at any time in his life, then my story could have caused some harm. For that reason, I probably should have kept that arrow in the quiver. After all, we aren't just a tiny website with an intimate set of users anymore.

Ah Lifeloyal...may of us Griz fans have congratulated the cats on their performance in Stillwater, both here and on egriz...but your irrational hatred shines through regardless. "Much more bitter than a serpent's tooth is a thankless child".

Thanks for your biting commentary teach. It's sports; how hard is that to understand? There is no irrational hatred except only in your eyes. I just don't root or cheer for the griz. Is that clear enough or do you need a Socratic quote in return to clarify that?

I have read this thread with considerable amusement. It is interesting to me that the opinions of Hauck are so strong in Bobcat-land towards Bobby. Outside of a couple of pin headed Griz fans, I don't think the same level of hatred is felt towards Kramer by most Griz fans.

One would have to wonder, then, why there is such furor over the head coach of their rival school. Of course, the answer is evident.

Bobby conducts himself in a manner which invites the criticsm he gets from Bozeman. His childish antics relating to the Bobcats, his refusal to house the team in Bozeman, his refusal to even mention the Bozeman school by name, shows the world of his deep immaturity level. This is just another reason why he should have never been named head coach in the first place. And, Kramer plays Bobby like a drum with the psychological games come Griz/Cat time. This makes it even more painful to me.

Bobby has surrounded himself with so many Haucks in the football program that one might consider re-naming the team "Big Timber West". The nepotism is atrocious. But, insecure people try to surround themselves with friendly people, to deflect criticsm and gain security.

I frankly don't understand why so many Griz fans don't have the ability to recognize Bobby for what he is. I'm quite ceratin that they would be all over him, just like the Cat fans are, if he were coaching in Bozeman instead of for the home team.

I just want a head coach representing my school who shows some class. Like Urban Meyer, like Joe Glenn, like Mark Richt, or so many others. Instead, we live with an immature, spoiled, spokesperson for our program who has difficulty ever taking the blame for the failures of his team.....who fails to give the opponent his due in defeat.....and, who comes across more like a recreation league football coach than the leader of the most visible IAA football program in the nation.

I must say that I am often ashamed of my bretheran Griz fans who grant unabashed support to Bobby, even though they know, down deep in their gut, that he is not the image that we all want for our football program.

This thread is now 7 pages long. Quite a statement for the pervasive feelings regarding a head football coach. But, also very revealing.

Wolfman I just want to say I am often ashamed of my bretheran Griz fans who can't support the Griz.
