1. There were no injurys in the OSU game.

2. Some ego injurys on sundays film day.

3. Our offence is on track.

4. King is fastest player on team, and made a huge game, as well as Hunter.

5. Secondary will be a strength.

6. No-one was happy with a loss. Everyone was talking about how we should have won. This is a great sign.

7. "What was once possible is now Doable"

8. Must have a running game, so lulay doesn't have to deal cards all game.

9. SFA has 3 guys over 300 pounds on the O-line.

10. This game against SFA will show how good we really are.

Some notes on Kramer's apperance on the SportNuts today, written as I listened so may be somewhat random.

-- Chartered travel so got back 1:00 in the morning after game so had all day Sunday to rest

-- Chris Davis will play against Cal Poly

-- No new injuries, everyone okay

-- as reported earlier Decock and Dominick to second team and Jensen and Bass to replace

-- Bailey and Lulay are very in sync with what is needed on offense

-- Clive Lowe possibly more suited to SAM lb than Cooper

-- Hunter had a good night coming back from missing last year, secondary will be source of strength this year

-- very little attitude of overconfidence in team or in post-game comments--just talking about missed opportunities and what to do to improve

-- looking for revenge against SFA after 2002 and to erase 4 game losing streak

-- overplayed on defense a bit in second half allowing QB's to run and hurting field position battle

-- need to look at young TE's a bit more this weekend, gonna make effort to run more

-- SFA plays tight man to man, similar to 02 & 03 Cats, WR need to limit drops

-- SFA has 11 I-A transfers starting

-- Team Grade: Dline B+

I am very impressed with our defense. If everyone can stay healthy, we have the potential to be a dominating defense. I know Kramer has a reputation of making some pretty outlandish comments, but I've heard from 2 different players that Lowe could be a better linebacker than Coop was.

Offensively, I am very happy to have a few RBs in the stable, instead of like last year, when all we had was Domenick. We are loaded at receiver, and it really looks like Chaz he is starting the season like he started last season...hopefully he can keep it up. Gatewood is going to be great, Murray is going to be very good, and I hope that Miller is good enough to challenge all of those guys for a starting job.

I also think that we will greatly benefit from having DeCock on the bench. He has not looked good in any of the scrimmages or in any of the practices that I've seen. It looks like he's athletic enough, and certainly strong enough to play the position, but I don't know if he has what it takes up stairs. He was constantly making mental errors during fall camp.

So when Davis comes back, is he expected to start at CB and have Fuller move to Safety in place of Grenfell? It sounded like Grenfell had a pretty good game (other than the pick that went through his hands and resulted in the game winning TD).

Needless to say, I am jacked for this season. I have a feeling we will blow SFA out of the water, and I think we'll win pretty comfortably at Cal Poly, and then I think the NDSU game will be very entertaining. If we win the next three games, I wouldn't be surprised to see us ranked in the top twelve to start conference season.

When we win the next 3 games we will be in the top 10. Moved up 3 spots with this 'good' loss and now people will have our eye on us the next 3-4 games. If we take care of business we will move up very fast in the polls I bet.

Focus, Bobcats, Focus. SFA is a good team. If we stink up the joint on Saturday, you can bet the response from the media/fans/Alumni will be loud and negative. We could very well be 0-4 going into league play. I'm serious. You simply can't look past any team on our schedule.

Let's see, SFA has a big O-line; 11 D1 bounce back/drop down starters and good team speed. We're toast IF we can't run the football more effectively. Also, throw in Big Sky reffin' and who knows what will happen. YIKES!!

I am in total agreement Steelheadbum!! The CATS need to keep in mind that we have the toughest schedule around. Because there are not patsies (Ft. Lewis) this year, we need to take it one day at a time, get the work done during the week, concentrate on what the coaches are saying, not the media, come saturday..........hopefully we will be looking at our first W.

I agree that the one thing we've got to be concerned with are Big Sky officials. Another thread mentioned what they did to Joey while he was here and this is the main complaint I've had since the two Idaho teams and Nevada left our conference. They look too much like PAC-10, Mountain West or WAC officials. Let the kids play the games instead of making us watch them throw 20-25 hankies a game (or more in some cases).

No we're not chopped liver. In fact, I'm confident in our physical abilities. It's our mental abilities that concerns me. Screw around too long in a game and you might find yourself down by four touchdowns before you wake up.

Oh, Sac State was "Chopped Liver" last year and they kicked our arses like rented mules in that game. Remember?? Seems to me we scored a quick touchdown and thought the game was over. Boy, was it ever. Heck I didn't even recall that Jimmy Beal played for Sac State, but it sure appeared that way. Kick butt on NAU the week prior only to lose to Sac State. Now do you understand where I'm coming from???

Now here's a frosty beer salute to the CATS in their quest to shut out SFA. GO CATS!!

I am willing to bet this FB team remembers better then we do. They are not dumb. There will be know letdowns this year.

I am in agreement with Flathead. I don't think this team will take anyone lightly and look ahead. I'll bet their total attention is on SFA and their explosive offense this weekend.

I can't wait for this weekend. I'll be there yelling my fool head off.

There is nothing better to remind them of where we are than to keep hearing and reading about our 4 game losing streak. Although we may have played well last week, we still lost and extended this streak. I think these players will be fired up to end this streak.

Well fellers, I 'll sweat the preparation and game day execution stuff no matter how small. If USC Coach Pete Carrol says he sweats the small stuff every day then that's good enough advice for me. Afterall, we did lose to OSU. I'd rather win looking ugly than lose looking good any day. Heck, I still remember the not so distant days when we lost looking really ugly!! Time to at least win ugly or win looking good. Did I mention a four game losing streak?? One game at a time baby. Go try your NC rings on now.

This is where the program has really taken a leap forward. MSU is competive in every game they play now and if they play their best game they can beat almost anyone (OSU game clearly shows that). Since Kramer's 2nd year I have gone into games EXPECTING that we will win instead of HOPING we will win. This is an attitude that Kramer and the players have put on the field the last 4 years and I expect it to continue. This is a sign of great things for our program. If we can get to the Grizzlies level of home level winning percentage we will become a national power year in and year out. We have 6 home games a year! We need to win every one of them ... EVERY ONE. No one comes into our house and takes us down. It all starts this week. We will send SFA packing.

Just a quick note on the confidence and change of attitude in this years team. Kramer said the 4 yard goal stand against OSU was the turning point for this team. They were not happy to have only lost by 5 points to OSU, they felt they should have won the game. This attitude was carried from the locker room at OSU and continues on the practice field this week, Kramer felt that this weeks practice is the best he has seen, everyone has really steped up.

The team and the Coaching staff are not taking SFA lightly, they are serious about winnig this game.

Kramer also feels the Cats have THE best defense in the Big Sky. He will do some fine tuning this week with the center and some other minor modfications on the O line.

As a side bar he is very, very high on Ryan Force, he claims Force can play just about any position on the field, including QB. Now thats some talent.
