Which ones do we have a shot at?......Fetters adds that Montana is a place with quite a bit of potential, especially in the number one player Drew Savage.
"Drew Savage showed the Scout.com staff this spring that he's one of the top pure athletes in the country, running a legit 4.51 40 at the New Orleans combine. Mark Desin and Andrew Selle both lead powerhouse programs, while Carson Bender and Mike Person are D1 prospects from much smaller schools."
Ranking:
1 Drew Savage RB Great Falls (CM Russell) 5-11/160/4.51
2 Mark Desin QB Billings (Billings) 5-11/175/4.79
3 Andrew Selle QB Billings (West) 6-3/200/4.9
4 Carson Bender TE Deer Lodge (Powell County) 6-4/240/4.8
5 Mike Person OL Glendive (Dawson County) 6-4/260/5.0

Due to our lack of experience at the TE position, I think that Bender will be a major priority this winter, but I would love to see any and all of those names as Bobcats this April.longhorn_22 wrote:Andrew Selle, I think definitely, and I thinik we have a pretty good shot at Bender and Person. I am going to the West High scrimmage game today, so I will post an update later tonight or tomorrow on Andrew's stats and performance.

I showed up a little late for the scrimmage yesterday, but I got to see Andrew do a few drives. He had two interceptions, but the second one was not his fault (it was tipped up in the air by his receiver). I thought he looked very good in the pocket. He looked extremely comfortable and did not panic when the pocket broke down. He also looked good running the ball as well. Other than the one interception, he looked very accurate and put the ball where his his receivers where they could catch it. I hope to go to another scrimmage or practice before the season opener.
On a side note, West's running back Chris Wells impressed everyone with his performance. I saw him have four carries for about 200 yards with three scores and a first down. This coming against a pretty good West defense that stopped the other runnung backs before Wells came in. He looks to have easily over 1000 yards this season, possibly 2000 if the line blocks well.
