Congrats to the Hawks on a dominating performance. It is going to be some year watching this team led by Tanner Roderick. He is a special player!

Good head coach, too. Troy "Piggy" Purcell.

always chuckle when guys call him that.....Troy is really starting to build the program......high participation level in the weight room during the off season.....getting more kids to go out for the team......implementing playbook at the middle school level.....tapping in to the resources of former Bobcat players as coaches on staff.

He's a good friend of Paul Petrino's (OC at Univ. of Illinois) and played HS ball at CHS and college ball at Carroll. Good guy.

Agreed. Thanks for the tidbit on Petrino. I didn't know where he was at these days.

Yeah, he got out from under Bobby. He was with him for a long time. I think Paul is going to make a good head coach someday in the not too distant future. He's really matured since he left Helena. If he produces at Illinois it could be pretty soon.

Sounds like the Bozeman High games might be worth going to this year, if for nothing else than to watch Tanner Roderick. 195 yards passing and 157 yards rushing last night.
