Why "friz"?
What's up with the word "friz"? You guys need to come up with something better than that. I realize that your trying to get our blood boiling with disrespectful remarks (I'm all for this by the way) but this just isn't doing it for me. When I read it.....nothing! I don't get pissed, I don't even feel the urge to respond with kitty remarks in any way.
You have the last two years on us, that kind of gets me going. Keep using that. But, even you Cat fans have to admit that the "friz" thing is lacking something. It's not even as good as "cubbies".
How about priz...or kriz....or driz?
Just trying to help....

Judging by how much whining we heard earlier this year, I had assumed that "friz" was the equivalent of "child molester."
Actually, I think it is used exactly because it's not too harsh. Obviously, one could go with "jizz," which is pretty crude, or something along those lines, but "friz" seems like a nonthreatening, almost affectionate alter ego.
It's probably in the same batch as "kitties" and "cubbies."

You make me laugh. Ya know, I'm going to let you in on a little secret...beating the Griz does not make you a successfull team. How many games have the Griz won on reputation? ZERO. What reputation does is add fuel to the fire of other teams when they play you.I thought the "Friiz" mostly had to do with how they ended their last 2 seasons. Start out riding high on their "reputation", only to have their season Friz-out come November.
I'll hand it to the cats on starting their season like the sisters of the poor and turning it around to share the BSC title. But like jagur says, you can't do squat in the playoffs. And that is where reputation and success are measured the most...not by beating one team on your schedule.

That's the point!!You make me laugh
That could be argued, but it does feeeeeellllllllllll sooooooo good!Ya know, I'm going to let you in on a little secret...beating the Griz does not make you a successfull team.
Reputation never by it self wins games, as the Griz have found out, What it will do though is get you higher seeds, home games and as a result over inflated expectations from fans. How many games have the Griz won on reputation? ZERO. What reputation does is add fuel to the fire of other teams when they play you.
Again, I will point out not living up to your reputation is a sure way to lose your reputation. On the other hand consistantly over achiveing will enhance you reputation.I'll hand it to the cats on starting their season like the sisters of the poor and turning it around to share the BSC title. well done mslacat. Good points...and you didn't even attack me personally.
I'll give you the first point. It does feel good to beat your rival, but it is only one game and doesn't solidify you as a team deserving of credit beyond that one game. I say again, beating the Griz doesn't catapult you into powerhouse status. Winning playoff games and championships does.

Who you beat and loose too and W/L is what gets you higher seeds...along with a dash of reputation as a tie breaker......possibly.Reputation never by it self wins games, as the Griz have found out, What it will do though is get you higher seeds, home games and as a result over inflated expectations from fans.
I wouldn't exactly say the cats have "consistantly" over achieved. I mean, from what I've heard about the talent on the cat team the past few years they are underachieving even in their mediocrity.Again, I will point out not living up to your reputation is a sure way to lose your reputation. On the other hand consistantly over achiveing will enhance you reputation.

By your logic: the Last two years were playoff losses with no wins, therefore at one time the Cats playoff record was 8-0. That would mean 2 1-AA championships???Helcat72 wrote:Actually if you look at the record, the Cats have only lost two playoff games since 1976! On a percentage basis we're something like 8-2!
I'm surprised you would remind us of the lack of playoff games they actually have.
