Honestly that drove me nuts in the game earlier against you guys. I'd see the Griz get some big stops while in zone, then they'd go man, and you guys would get easy layup after easy layup. Frustrating to watch! I'm really hoping we stick with more zone against the cats this game and try to force them into chucking up 3s instead of what we saw in the previous game.
Congrats cats! I really had hoped that we would see the Griz use more zone against the cats this game, unlike the game in Bozeman... Unfortunately the same very costly mistake (in my opinion) was made again and we played mostly man defense, allowing Bynum and everyone to get to the rim almost at will in the first half and through much of the second half.

The cats did a great job keeping the Griz offense out of sync for the most part. Johnson and Cherry were the only Griz that seemed to be able to create out there for the Griz. Selvig had 14 points, but really wasn't too effective in the post. We definitely missed Qvale tonight, but I don't think even having him out there for more minutes would've changed the outcome. We got killed on the boards, which should never have happened with our size, but did.. The cats came ready to play and in my opinion had a much better plan going in than the Griz did. The Griz kept going back to what doesn't work against the cats and it bit them in the ass (again).

Anyway, great game, and hopefully we see you guys again in the championship game!

Wow, what a first post. Good job LZ. This has to go down as the greatest first post ever on BN.com. Picks men by six, they win by six, 73-67. Picks women by six, they win by five, 77-72. Look at how close the actual score is to the picks, too. That's ridiculous. =D^

Truthfully, I was right there with ya grizgirl. It should have known better about conventional wisdom when it comes to the bsc on any given night.

I thought both games would be a little closer than grizgirl predicted, but I really didn't expect us to win either one. What a great day for MSU basketball!!

I was waaaaaaaay off. The way our men have been playing and our women coming off a loss where they gave up 100 pts had me thinking we'd walk away in both. Wrong. So the first time a Robin Selvig team gives up 100 and then the first time a Robin Selvig team loses to MSU at Dahlberg all in one week.

Go Dark Brandon!!
