We swept them in 99-both men and women. But they were playing in a high school gym because Dahlberg was being renovated.

This was a historic day for MSU basketball, in the men's and women's game. This is just a great win for the guys. They hit most of their free throws down the stretch, made big shots inside, outrebounded the Grizzlies, and just played an all-around excellent game. The third place finish is the highest since a second place finish in 2005, and 10 wins is the most since the regular-season championship in 2002. Things are getting better year by year, and let's see if something can happen in the tournament. Now, there's a week off to relax and recoup for the game against Portland State. Let's keep the mojo rolling, and make this a very special season!

GO CATS!
It's always a good day to be a Bobcat fan! :) =D^ \:D/

The big thing as I see it we don't have to play Northern Arizona who is playing very well lately....and if we win we play Northern Colorado instead of Weber!

Also, this win guarantees a winning season. Huse's first as MSU's head coach. =D^

Had to miss the game :(
Anyone want to enlighten me on why we shot 39 free throws?

Qvale was sick and didn't play too much-thus the Cats were able to take it to the hoop time and time again (especially Bynum). It was ugly but effective. Also, they started fouling to get the ball back pretty early. It almost worked-as Rush and Johnson were not hitting their free throws and Anthony Johnson got extremely hot. One possession Rush missed both free throws, but Johnson got the rebound and was fouled right away-he then made one of two.

In the first half it was the Anthony Johnson free throw show-as he was going to the line almost ever possession whereas MSU wasn't getting there.

Navarre played very few minutes. He got two fouls early (trying to guard Johnson), picked up a cheapy early in the second, and then got poked in the eye and had to go to the locker room.

Special day for Bobcat basketball! The men played the most complete game I have seen them play under Huse. Keep this momentum rolling into next week, beat PSU and on to Ogden!

I will have to say this about Coach Huse is that he does a great job getting this team to play together and designing an offense around the talent on this team. There are very few times where we ever have to question the effort on this team.

I don't know if we have all the pieces to win the conference but at least this team is playing smart, hard-nosed basketball.

Great game by the CATS! Wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago on this board that a few folks were calling for Coach Huse's head? If you take an informative and unbiased look at what he inherited verses what Coach Tinkle inherited; Tinkle is the one that should be calling 1-800 GO UHAUL not Huse. Huse & Co are getting better each year and as long as he keeps beating the griz who cares about the rest of the record!?!?? :D Actually, I would love to see the Cats win the Big Sky regular season title, win the BSC tournament, then win a game at the Big Dance during Coach Huse's tenure. GO CATS!

That was an ass-kickin', pure and simple. The Griz showed no heart and the Cats showed a ton.

We're all here 'cause we ain't all there.

I have to give coach Huse credit for have the better game plan, they stuck with the plan and played with confidence! Nice effort! I've heard more noise in church than what it sounded like in Dahlberg Arena. Credit the Cats for the silence!

Excellent game plan, and excellent execution on the road.

I really like how BJ is able to draw Qvale/Selvig away from the hoop and open up the lane for Navarre, Bynum and Rush to take it to the hoop. Also, we clearly played with more effort and determiniation that UM. Kudos to the Huse and Staff, as well as the seniors who ended the regular season in style.

Hopefully we'll be able to keep it going and have a game or two in Spokane.
