Congrats Erica! She has really picked up her game over the last month. The Cats are 5-1 in their last 6 games and seem to be peaking at the right time! Look out Montana.

Probably the same reason that we're 6 months out from the football season and there's more activity on that board than there ever is on here. Couple that with the fact that it's women's basketball which some sports fans still will have nothing to do with, and that's your recipe for no love for Perry.

I got tickets for all of the conference games this year and last. I found that the games are really exiting and even more so than the men sometimes. I find I have just as good a time at the women's games....you all should try them!

That's too bad, because this is probably the best 'money' team at MSU right now and Perry has been in the middle of it for the last four years. The football team always makes a run late, but not like WBB. They've won five of six down the stretch this year. Last year five of six to finish, year before won last four and then two more to get to title game. Year before those they were the most (or close to it) improved team in the nation. 3-23 to 13-15.Billings Cat wrote:Probably the same reason that we're 6 months out from the football season and there's more activity on that board than there ever is on here. MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I wouldn't say that there is no love for Erica Perry. In my mind she should have been player of the week for a few weeks in a row especially after their team get together and Coach Binford reminding Perry to just go play her game and have fun.
Erica has been "The Player" that represents what the program/Coach Binford's philosophy/etc is all about. For four years now Erica has put the fear of god into opposing players as she made all of her steals and could implement the fast break better than anyone in a Bobcat uniform has done in a long time. When she is not on the floor the offense is just not the same.
With how crazy the conference on the women's side they still could be left out in the dark even after playing a great ball coming down the stretch.
The matchup this weekend with the Griz will be interesting.
