Conseco claims someone in the HOF was a steroid guy. Any specualtion on who it is?
Ricky?
Cal?
Gwynn?
Boggs?
Sandberg?
I am assuming it was someone from the last few years.

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

My money's on Cal. Lots of injuries that he was able to recover from quickly to keep his participation streak alive.WORM wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4367025

Although Ricky would probably be a strong bet.

I'd say Cal. Has Sandberg even been mentioned before? Man... I grew up watching him in 78 or 79 when he played for the Helena Phillies. That'd be a bummer if it was him.WORM wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4367025

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

Ryno is a real possiblity. He put up offensive numbers that had never been seen from a 2nd baseman before. Cal is a strong possibility as well. Geez, sadly, they're all possibilities.

Yeah, but Sandberg was putting up impressive numbers early in his career. In 84, he batted .314, had 200 hits, 114 runs, and 84 RBIs, but only 19 homers. And he won a Gold Glove his first year as a second baseman in 83. I think he was more likely just a very naturally talented player from day 1.GrizinWashington wrote:Ryno is a real possiblity. Dennis Eckersly (sp?) ... at least that's the rumor I just read.

My money's on Fernando Valenzuela (Hispanic Heritage Hall of Famer). Nobody could have a physique that natural or get that big over his career without some sort of PED.
