Bay Area Cat made a crack about brain-dead people on my Bonds post, and it reminded me of something I thought of the other day:
If we killed ALL brain-dead people or those in a "persistent vegetative state", I've determined that Montana's population would be cut approximately in half.
Just an observation....

If you killed all the brain dead people in Montana there would be no griz fans left at all. Bobcats fans would rule all of Montana.

Tacit admission that Griz fans currently rule Montana duly noted.

Bad, 2002, bad.
I KNOW you've seen my comments on egriz about you guys trying to stir up an academics battle between MSU and dUMb.
For those of you who missed the announcement at halftime of the SFA game, MSU's STUDENT/ATHLETES' aggregate GPA surpassed 3.0 for the NINTH consecutive year.
I wonder if the Griz accomplished that even ONCE during the last 9 years? As I told them over on egriz, they should stick to sports and leave the classroom out of it, just like their athletes do!

Griz student athletes cumulative GPA for the most recent semester: 2.96
Most recent published graduation rate report for student athletes (2003-2004):
UM - 70%
MSU - 52%
Also, I have it on good info that MSU's athletics/academic oversight position (the person who makes sure student athletes are fulfilling the academic requirements in order to stay eligible) was unstaffed last year. Therefore, many MSU football players participated but were not eligible and they basically got away with it. Top notch, Bobcats!

Sources for your *ahem* claims, 2002? Your graduation rate info needs a little support; I'm sorry that I just can't take your word for it.
The info I provided is FACT and was a big reason why the Bobcats won the President's Cup.

I have requested the report from my gal over in the UM SI department and she is e-mailing me the info. I will post when I receive and would be happy to forward to anyone who wants it.
But when the proof is provided, I require you to admit publicly that UM is your daddy. You may have a slight (.05) edge in cumulative GPA, but that is so small as to not really even count. On the other hand, an 18% difference in graduation rate = bona fide ownership.
