Griz Fans at Game

Post by CPACAT » Sat Nov 24, 2007 10:48 pm

I went to the game today and wore my Bobcat gear. Caught some good natured ribbing but was treated very well. Got more thanks for coming than people giving me crap.

It was a can't lose situation for me. If the griz win, great for Montana. If the griz lose, thats great cuz they are the griz.

Most comments were along the lines of hey who are the Cats playing this weekend. I just smiled and said I know we won't lose and won't give up any points. After the game I could say the same team the griz play next week.

It was the best time to wear my Bobcat gear in Missoula since the 2002 cat/griz game. After the game people just looked at me and said nothing. :D

I will say that Wofford is a good team. I think without the 3 turnovers the griz are not even in the game. They could not stop the run. Wofford had 333 yards rushing on 60 carries. Ave about 5.5 yards per carry. Going in I though the griz would win.

All in all the fans were very friendly but there are a lot of NFC fans (no friggin clue). They would bitch about every play call if the griz did not get at least 5 yards. I just shook my head and smiled.

I did have a good time. Only 4 and half months til spring ball. Go CATS!!

Thanks for coming though CPA, I suppose for even a neutral fan this was probably a fun game to watch.

I saw you there you peice of crap. I should have left you in Ovando, like I threatened to. He was treated rather well, and had numerous other cat fans come up to him and say they were too afraid to wear their gear. Seriously, bro, I am glad you came, but you could have offered to drive part way home so I could get some sleep too.

Holy smokes, I sat somewhere other than where I usually sit, too. And I think I was in the clueless section. One guy yelling, "Come on #19 from Butte" all day long. "C'mon 53, get back there an make a tackle". Just yelled #'s all day long, no names.

And when Lex would run for 5+ it was "Whooo-hooo", but a 3 yard gain was, "that was a stupid play".

I was beside myself...rant over.

What are you guys talking about?! The guy on the tv said that Griz fans are the most educated fans in football. :)

I was also at the game, in full bobcat gear, even though my sweatshirt was hidden under a very heavy jacket (I was in the shade the entire game), and had on my Bobcat winter cap. I actually didn't have a single Griz fan come up to me and say anything, other than my friends I was with.

This was a very good game to watch, both teams played decently and it was relatively penalty free. It was my first collegiate football game when I wasn't apart of the game day experience (band) in someway, lots of fun.

I was also at the game in my Bobcat gear. Some good natured ribbing going on at the game but that was it. Wore my msu gear out the bar that night and was in Mo Club all night with guys I knew from the team, and there was not one comment about it.

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

I have plenty of talent and vision. I just don't give a damn.
