Not good, even if it is griz players. That is the last thing we need for football in the state of Montana. I wonder if Hauck's job will be in jeopardy since Kramer was fired for having a few bad apples?

Whoa. Yikes. What are these kids thinking? Some things I have heard make me think Lex might not be far behind. Cat-griz aside, it just makes me sad to see these things continue to plague our schools' fine universities... yes, even when it happens to the grizzlies. It has certainly happened enough at MSU for us not to throw stones.

Yea, I don't think we will be throwing too many stones. Actually most griz fans were pretty good about it when we were dealing with those issues.BozoneCat wrote:Whoa. Yikes. Although it sounds very serious robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping? Yikes!

If all this is true.....And after the legal/criminal things are sorted out....
The FB issue here will be transfers. Coleman was a transfer that was brought in a year or two ago, and I believe he had a history of off-the-field trouble. Shelton was brought in from Arizona at the start of this year, and he was suspended at AZ for Spring Ball (I don't know why...I have heard grades...but I don't know).....brought in after all our difficulties, and after we changed coaches - partly because of our guys getting in trouble.
These are very serious issues.....and quite frankly it is not what any of us need.
Bottom line is that I am VERY disappointed in all of this.....again. I sincerely hope that the allegations are untrue. Grizfans, we feel your pain, and most of us are very unhappy with all of it.
By the way...if my facts are incorrect on Coleman and Shelton, please correct me.

I'm just sick about this, good points too HelenaCat.
Coleman transfered from Iowa I think, had some issues in high school and not sure he had any problems in College, maybe grades.
Shelton was a grades issue at Arizona.
Freeman had some prior arrests when he came here.
Wilson & Parks didn't have any past problems, as I best recall.
What a disappointment, I'm really tired of all of this crap.

Re/Max....we're with you on this. Maybe I am very naive, if so I still don't plan on changing, but I just want to talk football. Unfortunately "Life" and all the things that we do sometimes gets in the way. This is serious stuff...and I hope it is all some big misunderstanding. Too many lives have already been effected.Re/Max Griz wrote:I'm just sick about this, good points too HelenaCat.

Longhorn your right, at least I had the state right!
Also someone mention Hauck getting some heat due to this and I expect that he would, to some extent. To have 5 players arrested in 1 season raises eyebrows. I think only guys like Pete Carroll and Mack Brown seem to not get any 'heat' when this many arrests happen in 1 season.

I just hope nothing knee jerk happens before the end of the season. If the athletic director starts to feel the heat sometimes they do stupid things. Hauck may be looking to move on to greener pastures anyway.
I tried to look over on egriz about this to see what they are saying but the site is down.

It is up now, and boy people are pissed. And rightfully so. I don't understand how stupid some people are. I mean, I'm a college student who has managed to stay out of all the trouble our two teams football players have gotten into recently. It is NOT that hard.

So apparently Pate was driving away from the scene with Coleman and Shelton in tow. He was pulled over for speeding and they were all arrested for Robbery, Burglary, Assault w/weapon and Kidnapping. I don’t understand Pate’s Fail to Appear charge.
Coleman scored a touchdown in place of Hilliard just a few hours earlier and he celebrates how? I'm pretty sure that Coleman had gotten into some legal trouble at ISU, not just grades.

Nope, I don't think that is correct. I believe this stems from an incident that occurred prior to last night.crazycat wrote:So apparently Pate was driving away from the scene with Coleman and Shelton in tow. The bad thing is this says SIX people were involved and only four were arrested according to the police roster. So there may be more players involved.Missoula home invasion suspects sought

Missoula home invasion suspects sought
Reporting from KPAX in Missoula
Police say six unknown males entered a home at 533 South Sixth Street East in Missoula early Monday morning and attacked one victim with a stun-gun.
Authorities are now on the lookout for the suspects who all fled on foot after entering the house shortly after 1:00 a.m. Officers say while inside they hit one man over the head with a pistol and then tazed him with a stun-gun.
The victim was able to jump out the window and run away and witnesses say five of the alleged burglars were wearing ski-masks and dark clothing. Witness accounts add that the sixth suspect was not wearing a mask and is described as being African American.
Officials say nothing was stolen from the home but if the suspects are identified they will most likely be charged with aggravated burglary.
