Former EWU Running back

Post by raincat » Wed Oct 24, 2007 1:18 pm

Jesse Chatman will be the starting running back for the Miami Dolphins this week. Article said he was out of football for two years, but made the Dolphins roster in 2006. Hope he does well. He was a horse at EWU!

He was a super scat back. Everybody had to hold there breath when he got the ball. The cats did beat them in 2001 when Jesse was the feature back. He would have had a lot better opportunity if he had not been behind LaDainian Tomlinson at San Diego for almost his whole career.

Didn't he get jobbed when he didn't get the Payton award back in 2001 or 2002?

There was a little piece on him in Sports Illustrated earlier this year. I guess he ballooned to like 280 lbs ( ) after getting cut, and then went on a serious diet and workout regimen, lost about 70 lbs and got back into football. Good for him. He's a stud.

There was an article about him in Sports Illustrated about a month ago. It spoke about all the weight he lost (something like 60 lbs). That got him a tryout where he impressed the coaching staff at Miami.
