What else would Coach dare say about the officiating in this conference? He's already been suspended once for calling a spade a spade. Would you have preferred something such as "I can't comment about poor calls?"

A little bird has told me that in addition to extremely close review by our conference's officials supervisors this coming year, the NCAA will be more closely examining a few of our crews. Should be fun times, as old wise one attempted to state that for whatever reason, we were kept closer scorewise than the game actually was (as were several others.) Why do you think we got to host a playoff game in spite of our record?
I listened to that game and you were not "dominating" that game as old gay one says you were.

Once you start name calling, you have no relevance to any argument anymore.

Ok, so we were pitiful but did you see the stats I posted from the game we played this year? If we were pitiful, what makes you guys? Also, what's your excuse when we beat you in our first year of 1AA when we had about 50 scholarships or less? We are 1-1 against your team since moving up and your calling UNC pitiful. You're pitiful

Well I was never against having UNC in - I had just wished we had picked a program that was already more competitive in all DI sports than UNC, but I knew/know UNC will get there in time.

But GoBears is making a complete a** out of himself right now, and I am quickly losing respect for NoCo.

Yes some of the fans are being a little harsh on you, but what do you expect? The only thing you can hold your hat on so far is "we almost beat you"? If you are going to smack talk back, you have go come up with better. And then calling us losers, gay, pitiful, etc, well man you are the classless one here.

We have gone to the playoffs 3 times in the last 5 years. You can call us pitiful but no one is going to believe you. In that stretch we lost to DII schools, good schools, and everywhere in between. Who cares. We've had 5 straight seasons with winning records, 3 of which resulted in playoff trips.

Try and be respectful, even if some of us are putting your program down. You are only making the view of your school look that much worse.

You ask, what is MSU if UNC is pitiful....how about a playoff team? Oh yeah, congratulations on winning in 2003...in case you forgot, MSU was a playoff team that year too.

I, for one, am glad that we added Northern Colonic to the Sky instead of NDSU; for a few years at least, it's some gauranteed W's!!!

Sorry, gobears, I just couldn't resist. It looks like for now, "moral victories" are going to have to be enough for your squads. Hopefully the Bears will end up being a competitive program and an asset to the Big Sky but we're simply not there yet.

Trust me, we've been where you are and no, it's not any fun. But with a playoff win under our belts in football and suddenly a men's BBall team a game above .500 in the conference, it should stand as a good example for you and any other program that is currently at or near the bottom that you CAN become competitive; it isn't easy and it's usually not quick, but it is a lot of fun once you "arrive" (and I won't even go so far as to say I put MSU completely in that category YET).

You point to the fact that we haven't won a bsc football game and we've been the league one year. That's a poor argument. BTW, shouldn't this be in the smack section of your board?

I think it's a very good argument. Not even an argument. It's a fact. The fact that you guys suck at sports and can't draw flies.

It wasn't smack until you chimed in. This discussion has been hashed and rehashed on BNation for months. This latest thread is just a summation of it all, and it wasn't smack. You came in with the name calling and program bashing. Like I said some of us were being a little harsh but it wasn't thrown out to be personal attacks.

Stating facts can in no way be construed as smack. On another thread, someone from the dark side with nothing better to do is attempting to start a useless smack thread that should be titled: Our athletes don't screw up to the same level as yours. Guess you could bring your season with Mack the Knife into the same lame garbage argument.

Is there anything on here that you find to be unfair or that the facts being used are incorrect? If so, please feel free to offer corrections and provide value to the posters. We have been wrong before.

But if you're just pouting because people don't think that UNC is a good addition to the BSC, then there's not much we can do for you. We aren't going to moderate people expressing an opinion like that, even if it does hurt some feelings.
