Some GOOD being done by our athletes

Post by Platinumcat » Thu Dec 14, 2006 3:39 pm

I found this on the official website. I thought perhaps we could use some good news at this point in the week.

Student-athletes Elizabeth Driscoll, Kayla Larson, Carson Durr, Amy and Ashley Jones stand in front of $1638.36 worth of toys donated to local kids

The pic didn't transfer through. But, there's a nice photo of some of the athletes and the toys they purchased.

VERY smart move by the Athletic Department. I love seeing this kind of thing, makes me quickly forget about the those who have made some mistakes.

Plus, it shows that it is stupid to make a broad brush assumption over a large group based on teh acts of a small few.

This is what MSU Athletics represents. Well over a majority of the MSU Athletes act in this way. Let's not let the actions of an extreme minority overshadow the good that is done by the majority. This post simply makes me smile. :D
