It would sure be nice to see us go after this young man. He would be an excellent addition to our roster.

The Schmucks already have 2 pledges from 4 star linemen and supposedly Bullotti and Whoregon aren't taking any more this year.Cat Pride wrote:Obviously all recruiting stuff is rumor based, but from what I've heard (and like everyone else, I have very credible sources) is that we've offered Husted... but its most likely between Oregon and UM. If we dont get him, GO DUCKS!!!

I hope you're right. Check this out. Not only was he capt. of the wrestling team, but he was AA champ last year at 189.Cat Pride wrote:He's the QB from Helena High correct?Helcat72 wrote:I heard we offered Fetherston...LB
Fetherston was the captain of the wrestling team, member of link crew and peer mentoring and is a referee for small fry and flag football. He plans to focus on earning a teaching degree while attending college on a football scholarship.
Two of the most exciting high school experiences for Fetherston was winning state in wrestling and scoring four touchdowns in one game against the Bruins.
“Ryan has an incredible focus and work ethic,” Fetherston’s coach Tony Arntson said. “He is the best all-around athlete I have worked with. He displays incredible intensity during competition. Out of the arena he is gentle, kind and loves to work with kids and people with less fortune than he has received.”

Kind of hard to say what Shirley projects as. He is listed as 6-2 and 210. He seems to have good speed. I would hope he could beef up another 25 or 30 pounds and become another Montoya type of player. If not, MLB? Have heard rumors that Nebraska is interested in him. Can't varify that, but that is what I have heard, so who knows. Good football player and another very good wreasler! Would make a great addition along with Bignell and Fetherston. Don't think we could get them all, but any one of them would be nice.

Hustad
Hustad has an offer from the Griz and Idaho. I have heard that the cats have not shown him much intrest. Featherston also has a partial offer from the Griz and I'm not sure if the cats have offered.

Re: Hustad
I heard the Griz are only offering Hustad a partial and that Featherston was offered a full by MSU. I guess he was the MVP at the MSU camp last summer.H-townGriz wrote:Hustad has an offer from the Griz and Idaho. I have heard that the cats have not shown him much intrest. I thought the same, maybe Ogden was defensive MVP and Featherson was offensive MVP.HelenaCat95 wrote:I thought Ogden was the MVP of the camp.
