All this talk about ASU SPEED

Post by KillintheGriz » Fri Dec 01, 2006 7:44 am

For some reason, my impression of the Cats throughout the years has been were not as good, not as fast, not as capable as other teams. This most likely stems from the the long basing period we've been through and the fear that other teams are better. I watch most games twice. The 2nd time through--after you know the outcome and can relax a little bit--you truly appreciate how good the Cats really are. They are very fast on defense--always have been. They look really good on offense when things are clicking. They also tend to make dumb mistakes--but we all know that. Watching the Cat-Griz game again, I can't recall another game I've watched--pro or college--that not only had explosive across the board hitting but also speed on both sides. ASU can get in their heads that they are a better, faster team but I don't think they've played a team this year that is as good as the Cats or Griz are. I feel confident the Cats are going to dominate this game and surprise quite a few naysayers. Good Luck Cats!

Dominate? Doubtful. There may be a surprise all right. But that won't be it. Good luck cats.

WELCOME TO THE ROCK.

I think Killingthegriz is right in one respect - my gut tells me the game won't be super close. One team will dominate (I hope it'll be the CATS). Games like this with teams who have never played eachother are more often one sided than a nail biter. As a CAT fan, I'm most worried about our ability to close - we seem to either wear down and/or become predictable in the 4th Quarter. Even if we dominate the stats, we could lose it all on a couple of plays in the 4th Quarter.

Man, I can't wait until tomorrow!

Its all about matchups. Some teams just match up to other teams better. It is hard to predict past scores on other teams and predict what a score in the next game will be etc. All I know is that MSU better bring their tackling fundamentals this week. If you miss tackles on speed players you can give up the long plays! TACKLE TACKLE TACKLE. I am looking forward to seeing some big hits from our GOLD RUSH as well! We really need to beat this team down hard right away and put the fear of BOBCAT in them. If we can do that and not make mistakes on O I think our D can win this game for us.

Is it SATURDAY yet!
