Rolovich, Taito to start

...according to today's Chronicle. Rolovich was healthy enough to take most of the snaps at yesterday's practice, and Taito gets the start because Mason is banged up and didn't practice well this week. Also, Papich is expected to play and Tyrone Henderson has been reinstated to the team and will play.

What is up with Mason, Kramer said on news last night he has a sore knee and general soreness. That has been the case several times this year. I know he keeps saying he is a true freshman and not used to the beating he takes in the games but seems there are several true freshmen playing at big time schools that can get through it. We need his quickness in the lineup. Or we need Taito to make a statement that he is ready this time to fill the role. Any more news on Beach earlier said he tore PCL of MCL but have not heard any more lately.

So who is our backup nickel back? From what I can gather we haven't played another corner besides Fuller, Austin and Beach. Will Force slide over and play nickel and bring in another safety?

The paper today said that Henderson is back and will come in as the fifth back/deep safety.

Henderson will play S and Retiorano will move to CB, I believe.

Who is Taito's backup? Mason! Gazzerro! I certainly hope Gazzerro got some reps this week in practice. Man, I like the way this guy runs. Fast, with shoulders pointed for the endzone.

I'm guessing we still see plenty of Mason tomorrow. He's not THAT hurt. He just doesn't like to practice when it hurts a little (from what I hear).
