This is like dances with “The Stars.” The people have spoken. This is my last post. Enough people have commented about my negative commentary that I feel that making any post(s) is unhelpful. Bobcat Nation has become a place where only POSITIVE statements are allowed. I wish MSU was a place where nothing bad ever happened, but it is not. I will continue to read this board, but too many critics have silenced me. Today was one of MANY examples of how our offensive coordinator is inadequate. I wonder how people think he is worthy of his title, but I am sure more than one person will pursued the masses. “Objectivity”, Bailey is not a strong suit for MSU, therefore I will reside my comments and “loath” Bailey forever. Let the praise commence and negative speech end. One NEGATIVE poster down only two more to go. Mediocre forever!

I would ask you to re-consider. This site is well done and therefore has gotten very popular. Because of the large number of members you are going to get opposing points of view on every topic. I swear you can claim the sky is blue and two or three will disagree. That does not mean that many posters do not agree with you. A member is more likely to post when he or she disagree's than if they do agree with your point of view. But that is part of what makes the board so valuable. The secret is to not take any comments personally and try not to post any that are intended to be taken personally. This does not always happen but for the most part everyone on this site tries to attack ideas not people. When the masses claim you are wrong about Bailey just remember two things: 1) their point of view is just as valuable and they are sure they are just as "right" as you are, 2) the goal is to make your point not to convert the masses.
This board is my only conduit to information because I live so far away from Bozeman and for that I am very grateful to the founders and the members. I have met some great people on this boards some of which have become friends and found a great classmate from HS who I am very thankful to be in contact with again (even though he is a griz).
I would bet that if you weighed the plusses and minuses you would see it as a favorable activity to be a poster on this site. Last point: While you may feel that many are glad you are not posting I would bet you are wrong. Even when someone disagrees with you they still welcome your position almost every time.
Besides, there are hundreds of other topics to post on besides Bailey!

GW:
I agree. I had a post that was removed from the website and all I did was question Kramer's ability.

I don't know, airgriz, what did you say. I love this site. It is hard, I think the mods are great. Iwouldn't want their job. We all love athletics, kids and sports in general, BOBCATS in particular. I want a moderator who will get rid of crap. Keep posting, most of them will appear. I wish my beloved bobcats would have won, but what a game. Can't pay enough for that kind of game. Maybe next year. Hopefully we will still get in the playoffs, if not, we will root for the griz ( the first time I haven't said friz)

I also would ask you to reconsider. I was right there with you after that three game skid with two of the most embarrassing losses in bobcat history. I felt at that time that Kramer and Bailey should have been run out of town on the end of a pitchfork. I still believe we could do better than either one of them. I think Bailey is mediocre at best but I do think Kramer is a decent coach. I just hate the stupid things he says about the players and I think he is a pompous person deep down. However, this loss was not the coaches fault. Give the fiz a little credit for this one they know how to get it done even when they get out played.
As far as play calling my only criticism is the fact that I believe they could have established the ground game if they would have tried. the pass calls for the most part were OK except for the fact that Rolo is just plain not that accurate. He even has trouble with the swing pass.
The players no doubt absolutely played their balls off. That was an incredible effort put forward and I can live with this loss after seeing how hard they played. The griz are very good at making you pay for a little mistake. This was the first game that I saw this year. I have listened to them all on the radio but I didn't really have a feel for how good they were and I was very impressed today. I still think we may get into the playoffs. I just don't see how you let Portland state in ahead of us.
Don't let them run you off the board G.W.

Okay, even though you and I share the same philosophy about the game and overall team effort in a football game and somehow feel Bailey should meet with that great San Diego Charger defensive coordinator in a dark alley, please don't leave this site. Besides, as soon as I retire, I'll be able to spend more time in here attempting to refute your claims of incompetence on our assistants part or lending data filled research to validate your posts! Just take a time out and count to Bailey ten times and you'll be okayVictorG wrote:gtapp wrote:OH MY GOD, If you're quiting over what's posted here, you'd NEVER maked at eGriz, not that you'd want to but ..........you must have the thinist skin EVER!G.W.Bush wrote:This is like dances with “The Stars.” The people have spoken. Hey GW, are you doing this as a publicity stunt?
I agreed with you after the three game skid that Kramer should be gone. I have since changed my tune about Kramer.
Today's play calling was rediculous...I do think that Kramer should be back but that Bailey should be gone.
Don't be afraid to stand your ground. There are others out there who share your opinions but will quit standing up and voicing their concerns if you don't write and support.

G-DUB, don't quit posting. It does seem as though "Big Brother" has been coming down hard on anyone posting comments other than glowing reviews of everything Bobcat...in addition to the few choice members who carry that torch when "Big Brother" isn't around...but I think we need to continue to have postings from ALL angles of the Nation, so keep up the good work.

If GW stops posting (including any other possible screen names that probably won't be apparent to most here) I will eat my hat.
First to AirGriz, I would like to know what you posted that got removed. I know I didn't remove anything, and unless it was a personal attack based at Kramer and not just a personal view on coaching then I would be VERY doubtful one of the other mods would have deleted it. If it was just smack, or later posters took it to smack it may have been moved, did you check other forums?
To Weezer's comment about "Big Brother" coming down hard on anyone posting comments other than glowing reviews, care to show some examples? Hell, go back to the 3 game skid and you will find the three mods nearly as critical as anyone. One thing that has been true since we started this site is that we as mods will give our opinions as readily as everyone else. As someone else said though, that is our opinion, just because we may disagree with someone though doesn't mean we use our moderator power to squash differing opinions (we may make a suggestion that we move along if it is just repeatedly beating a dead horse, or get back on topic if it has gone awry but we rarely move things unless they turn to smack and almost never lock/delete threads). Sorry, but if we did what you are suggesting it would be suicide for this site that we have worked so hard to build up. As GW said, life is not all roses in Bobcat land and good discussion about things is the best thing to do, but the people on both sides need to understand that debate is healthy and not everyone needs to feel the exact same way about an issue and respect each other for their opinions.
And back to the original topic that GW claims he has been shouted down about and must now leave the board because everyone is telling him to stop. Now that our season is essentially done, I am officially on the replace Don Bailey bandwagon...well okay, I am just now saying it publicly because I didn't feel it was useful to say in the middle of the season. 3rd and 1 and moving down the field and not only do we not run it for a first down we actually sell out completely and go to shotgun!!! WTF!!!

There was alot of playcalls where our guys didn't even have a chance. I was saying the same thing on that 3rd down play. Also, the Griz have some of the fastest, most athletic defensive ends in the country and we are trying to run the ball to the outside? And then late in the game after the pick and we have it on the Griz 20, what's with all the throws into the endzone? We still have a chance to pick up one, maybe two 1st downs, but instead we're gunning it into double coverage. Why not run, keep the D honest and chew up some more clock? I, too, want to sign the "Bailey must GO" petition.kmax wrote:If GW stops posting (including any other possible screen names that probably won't be apparent to most here) I will eat my hat.![]()

Yes. It was about Kramer. It was posted last Saturday or Sunday and removed. It was intended to create debate about Kramer as a quality coach. Only good, comfy, cozy debate is permitted on this website. That's cool. I now understand the parameters. So, I love Mike Kramer. Keep him at MSU forever. In his veiw . . . the Griz are chasing him. I love Little Mikey's fantasy world.
Kramer is and always will be all about Kramer. He is barely over .500 winning percentage and in my opinion he is a self-created media hype. Hell, he has had 7 years to win one playoff game at MSU and he has failed.

Iam with you all the way. I will also continue to keep reading but I think my posting days, short a member as I am, are done.
Bailey is horrid. He never made half time adjustments all season. His third and one from the shotgun borders on complete stupidity. Kramer needs to take a vast amount of blame for that as well as head coach and I am a huuuuge fan of the Big Human. This game was totally pi$$ed away. Bailey gave up on the running game in the second half much as he did last year at EWU. There is FAR too much offensive talent to only score 7 points especially given that we had FOUR takeaways.
As a booster, I will say outloud to my coaching staff contact how much Bailey should be gone. My company donates too much money to put up with this complete ineptness.
To the faithful: you need to put things in perspective. There is absolutely no way the Cats should have lost today. To settle for less is to settle for mediocrity. You wallow alone.

GW: I don't think anyone minds what you post, it's just that when someone disagrees with your assessment that things go haywire. I saw Michael Jefferson drop a ton of passes, one that might've won the game for us. Bailey can't catch the ball. That's not to say Bailey is infallible. I don't like his play calling all the time, but to be so black and white as to say that it's all Bailey's fault is too short sighted for me.
A lot of things go right and wrong in games regardless of whether you win or lose. Whenever anyone makes a broad brush statement I always feel compelled to challenge it. If you can't handle it, I don't know what to tell you.

Re: Last Post Ever

Don't let the door hit your rear end as you leave.

I for one would like to see GW keep posting. I can agree with him that it's hard to continue to be vocal in your opinions as I've been one of Kramer's most vocal critics.
I think GW leaving is similar to that stupid bumper sticker that says bad policitians are elected by good citizens who don't vote. GW, I urge you to continue voicing your opinion.
Maybe changes to the coaching staff won't happen this year but I think the smokescreen on the coaching staff might be starting to clear up a little bit and reveal who they are (and aren't).
