A FINAL PLEA

Post by torrybruce » Sat Nov 18, 2006 5:17 pm

to anyone out there in playoff decision land please hear our cry. We the mighty bobcats of Montana State University deserve an at-large bid. Many thought that we would not be worthy at the beginning of the season, but through it all, we the members of bobcatnation, feel that blue and gold would be well represented in the I-AA playoffs. I would be willing to guarantee one victory, which is more than other 4 loss teams can promise. We have the 2nd toughest conference in the land, and have a D-I win...please take that into consideration.

GOOD LUCK GRIZ

With #20 UNI upsetting #6 Illinois State that might just allow four teams being selected from the Gateway this year, it's hard to say but Dougherty predicted it & also left UNI out of the playoff picture besides.

If UNI is selected there are about six teams to choose from that are all incidentally 7 - 4 with no real better choice: Towson, Eastern Illinois, Wofford, Portland St., Cal Poly & MSU. IMHO

UNI winning today really f**ked up your chances @ an at-large bid I believe. Depends.

I don't see Eastern Illinois & Wofford being any better a choice than MSU. Many think Cal Poly won't be eligible since they don't have seven Div. 1 wins, SOS may influence though. Towson got mauled badly by JMU.

Good luck!!!

IMO what really really hurts a 7 - 4 team is losing the last game too. I'd be VERY shocked if the Cat's get in.
