Dude, can't you guys take a compliment? I meant that remark literally. I agree Missoula is a fun town, I wish I could move back there. I'll fully admit that I think the redneck culture in Bozeman is somewhat unfriendly
I realize you can study more than dance and theatre arts at dUMb. I don't think the science curriculums you mentioned are on par with what they have in Bozeman and I realize allot of good people go to school in Missoula. The fine gentleman that serves my coffee in the morning is a proud griz fan. I also see a stripper down town who lap dances for me on a regular basis that is proud griz alum as well.

Yeah, pharmacy, chemistry, biology, forestry, math, economics, business, journalism, education, law-all useless majors. I only wish I had the opprotunity to study cows
Pharmacy... if you want to brag about being able to count out 100 pills for a prescription that was written by a doctor, more power to you.
Forestry... is that how to recognize when you're actually in a forest? And you think degrees at Bozeman are lame?
Journalism? The world sure needs a lot more Rachac's stroking the egos of people whose greatest accomplishments in life are having been to Washington Fizzly Stadium.
Law? Way to go unleashing more ambulance chasers and trial lawyers on the world and increasing costs for everyone.

Someone has to dispense zoloft for people like you, and i imagine you would appreciate journalists more if your reading level was greater than Hop on Pop

Cledus, I generally agree with a lot of your posts, but I have to call you out on this one.
If you're dense enough to think that pharmacists simply only count pills that doctors prescribe for patients, then you really need to do your homework on what pharmacists actually do. Such an ignorant generalization is sad, and as a clinical hospital pharmacist, I take great offense to such words.

I don't even know what zoloft is. Then again, why would I care? I don't take any drugs. I take that back. I took some Halls cough drops for a couple of weeks cos I had a cough. I'm not the one defending a degree in counting to 100.
Reading Hop on Pop? Again, don't know what that is but you obviously do. I continue to think it's funny Fizz fans come here because they need our validation and their own boards are ruined by their own fans.
Suddenly went quiet on the forestry and law degrees, eh? You think Johnny Montana would have been accepted into law school if it weren't for his daddy?

Go do some god damn homework on the professions you're actually knocking. I didn't attend 10 and a half years of college and earn a doctorate to count to 100.
It's a sad thing to think that you might have gone through such a great institution such as MSU. Such sweeping generalization(s) about something which you know nothing about is asinine.

My bad, I should have realized by your name that even Dr. Suess is too advanced. My main point with all of this is that cat fans often resort to bashing on UM's academics which, while they are infierior in some respects, have nothing to do with football, which is what this board is about

Well I guess you can resort to that if you run out of things to say about your team, but it seems kind of irrelevant to me

Anybody interested in the number of Anti-Booing threads over on eGriz? Seems the fans bood their team enough this week to piss off other fans.
At least in Bozeman we only boo the zebras.

I have plenty of things to say about my team, which I in fact do quite regularly in the other topics.
Didn't some Griz fan start this whole thing by saying we major in cows? And now I'm the bad guy because I take a crack at pharmacists (like I knew anybody on here is actually a pharmacist)? Where was your evolved sensibilities when I was ripping on lawyers and degrees in forestry?
Again, I don't know any Dr. Seuss except for Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the Hat. I tend to stick with Ayn Rand, Conrad, Tolstoy, Hiaasen, and Leonard. Shame on me.
I'll never run out of things to say about my team. However, from time to time, I'll engage in a battle of the wits with Griz fans who need validation on the Cat boards.
Tell it to your therapist or Dr. Phil and then feel good about having been billed for $200 an hour.

Didn't the original post on this thread from the fiz trolls talk about how boring Bozeman is? How the partying and atmosphere was different in Bozeman than in Missoula?
All smack aside I think the culture at the two Universities is quite a bit different. The curriculums at the two institutions attract different types of students. When fiz trolls come to this board and start bad mouthing the atmosphere in Bozeman and then play the “cat fans often resort to bashing on UM's academics” card. I say tough crap if they are offended.

I believe this had something to do with it. By BCS, do you mean Bowl Championship Series? If so, this makes very little sense.

For the record, I said nothing bad about the atmosphere of Bozeman, just about their football team. Again, I don't feel that's relevant to football, which is what I came to this board to discuss.

That smack makes perfect sense if you know any Griz fans who were upset at not being included in the BCS standings.
Believe it or not, I actually do know Griz fans like that.

I think his point was that fiz fans think they should be in a BCS Bowl. Sorry if that went over your head.

Why doesnt his 3.8 GPA get him into law school???
The GRIZ, a quarter century of total football dominance over the cats.

Because I know of some people and a few friends who couldn't get in with 4.0 GPAs.
Looking back, it wasn't fair of me to say he got in because of his dad. But hey, this is the smack thread. But there's no question he wouldn't have gotten in if he didn't have the noteriety that comes with being a star on the football team.

That's real life, though. Athletes may indeed get some advantages that others don't, but they also have a hell of a lot to offer because of the amazing experiences they have had in their younger years, which I believe adds tremendously to the diversity of the class. Personally, I think most graduate programs are looking less and less at only the GPA, and more at the package of what a student has to offer besides just their grades - and I couldn't be happier. Grades are a terrible predictor of future success IMO. Obviously, they matter, but I would take a kid with a ton of outside experiences, volunteer activities, membership in clubs, etc., with a 3.4 GPA, than a kid who sits in his or her dorm room studying all day but has a 4.0. I had kids from both camps in my graduate class, and I can guarantee you that the kids from the former camp will be more successful.
GO CATS GO!!!

I find it hard to disagree with everything you say. Actually, it's because I agree 100%.
But dammit, this is a smack thread!
Still, I think Edwards was the recipient of white people affirmative action: the old man's connections. It's naive to think that if old man Edwards hadn't procured the turf and jumbo-tron that his son was the most qualified.
Does anybody think Bush got into Yale because of the diversity he brought to the student body?
