Heaven
After Mike Kramer dies and enters the Pearly Gates, God takes him on a
tour. He shows Mike a little two-bedroom house with a faded Montana State Bobcats banner hanging from the front porch. "This is your house, Coach." Most people don't get their own houses up here, God says. Mike looks at the house, then turns around and looks at the one sitting on top of the hill. It is a huge three-story brick mansion with white marble columns and little patios under all of the windows. Montana Grizzly flags line both sides of the gold sidewalk and a huge "Go Griz" banner hangs between the marble columns while "Up with Montana Boys" blares from hidden speakers. "Thank you for the house, God. But let me ask you a question. I get this little two-bedroom house with a faded banner, and Bobby Hauck gets a mansion with new Griz banners and flags flying all over the place. I didn't think football records made a difference in heaven. Why is his house so much nicer?" God looks at him seriously for a moment. "That's not Bobby Hauck's house," God says. "That's mine!"

Football is not a game but a religion, a metaphysical island of fundamental truth in a highly verbalized, disguised society, a throwback of 30,000 generations of anthropological time. ~Arnold Mandell

Re: Heaven
Then Kramer looks down and shakes his head. He begins to laugh in a deep, dark voice. He looks up at God with a powerful stare and says, "I've got bad news God. It seems as if the tides have changed. My Bobcats and I coming to that house and we're going to storm those gates. And we're going beat down those Griz and take what's ours. Consider yourself warned God because we're comin' and Hell's comin' with us.GrizinWashington wrote:After Mike Kramer dies and enters the Pearly Gates, God takes him on a

Bobby made it to a title game because he inherited a pretty darn good football team and had a DI QB who got hot at the right time of year.
IMO, Bobby was simply "along for the ride" in 04. If he can get this year's team to the title game, it will be far more due to his abilities as a coach & recruiter than did the 04 trip.
Kramer, on the other hand, took over a bad team & a bad program and has turned them into a conference contender and is now looking to take them to the next level: A NATIONAL contender. He's not there yet but I like his chances...
Keep in mind that he has done this while competing against one of the toughest I-AA programs to contend with only 200 miles away. The fact that he's done as well as he has given the championships, wins, facilities, and TRADITION the Griz have built is a true testament to his ability to recruit at the very least.

Oh, we stand corrected!! I forgot the only folks that can say "we" are the frizzlies, like when they say "we have the biggest winning streak blah blah" in that and all cases like that, then if "they" didn't actually play on the team, or if they aren't a frizzlie, "they" must substitute the "we" with "our team" or some other frizzlie approved wordBillings_Griz wrote:"We"???
