Why wouldn't we? UM had very slim wins against Weber and ISU and the like. Darn right we have a chance and more

To be fair, we did hold ISU's offense to 92 total yards, our offense couldn't convert in the red zone.
Your right. The griz O could not convert against a bad ISU D. It won't get any easier against the Cats.

As in past Cat / Griz games, we will run the ball and hopefully control the line of srimmage. That's why we have a chance in two weeks.

If we shut down Noble on Saturday, I wouldn't count on your running game to win the game

Back to the original POS posting, if you think for a moment that the Griz do not play Poly in SLO because they are afraid, you're either (a) mentally handicapped, (b) a complete moron, or (c) viewing life through blue and gold glasses.
It's all about dollars, and the Griz are in the enviable position to call the shots. Why would UM pay to travel anywhere (other than a payday DI-A game) when they can play at home, make their fans happy, and rake in a huge home gate? However, with that said, I have no doubt that now that the deficit is all but paid off, you'll see UM begin to travel more, and you'll see them return to places like Maine and Hofstra, and probably, Poly (assuming Ellerson doesn't burn that bridge first).

Doubt you ever go back to maine after blowing double your budget on travel and rooms.

Which makes so much less sense than putting up the $$ to have your team stay in a hotel for a home game.

lots of griz fans here concerned about the Cats....wonder what that means?

Any Griz fans that aren't at least concerned about the Cats right now aren't being honest. I personally think it'll be a great game and can't wait.

Well for those that missed an excellent game.....we got our revenge. Griz 10 Cal-Poly 9
A defensive battle all the way as Cal was up 6-0 through most of the game. Our D was awesome and forced them into a passing game.
It was still 6-0 deep into the 3rd. Until a Griz fumble recovery that we capitalized on deep in Cal territory put us up 7-6. Then Cal Poly scored a FG with 2 minutes left. Our only sustained offensive drive was our last when we drove it down to the Cal Poly 4. A FG won it for us.
We should've been better on offense. Wide open receivers overthrown. Dropped balls. But I'll take a W over Cal Poly any day.
Get your rest the next two weeks. You're gonna need it!

I thought that the last little bit of this article was the best. Coach Ellerson points out that the griz won't play the Mustangs in San Luis Obispo. He doesn't think that the series will last much longer with lack of desire on the part of um to go to CP SLO.
chicken sh!ts is what I think. Even though we will all hear about how much financial sense does it make for the griz to go on the road when wagriz will make XX dollars. chicken sh!ts is what I think.
Funny coming from a team that is afraid to play them!!!

Not scheduling a team for a couple of seasons is not "being afraid of them." They do not play in our conference, so we won't be playing them every year, plain and simple. I would get sick of having a schedule in which we played the same exact out-of-conference teams every season... although that would be better than seeing Ft. Lewis and Southern Utah on the schedule for next year.

GO CATS GO!!!

To be fair holding ISU's offense down in Missoula is not the same as holding them down in Pocatello, apples and oranges man.
This game matches up allot like last year. The fiz will not run against the cats. I think the cats have the edge on offense and defense but special teams, turnover margin and big sky refereeing favor the fiz.

You need to go back and look at all the post last time the cats played the Mustangs.

Yeah, I mean it's just crazy how Cat fans dictate the schedule and all......

Well in one of those post was a quote from your coach stating just that. How's that for sharp insight???
