MBB: Desin Practicing with the team.
I have heard Mark Desin from Billings by the way of the Bobcat football team is practicing with the Basketball team. It is my understanding that he was redshirted this year (for football) is that right. Also when I was down for the 13th I noticed Brent Taylor a walk-on also from Billings West was not suited up but I believe he was helping out on the side lines. Taylor was though on the roster they were handing out.

To answer your one question mslacat, he has been redshirted so far this season and I see no reason that it will be burned.
This is good news though. I never got a chance to see Desin play in HS, but heard from many people around Billings that he was an amazing talent on the Basketball court.

Taylor is on the roster posted om the MSU Site and was on the roster handed out at the first practice.longhorn_22 wrote:This is great to hear. I realize that. I was just wondering why he hasn't been suiting up, because he wasn't at the practice I attended. I was just wondering if Huse doesn't think he has a place right now, or if he is injured or something.mslacat wrote:Taylor is on the roster posted om the MSU Site and was on the roster handed out at the first practice.longhorn_22 wrote:This is great to hear. If that is true that is too bad nice kid. I think Desin will be great for this team they need someone with his competitive drive and it has got to be killing such a competitor not to be able to compete this fall. I do not think he loses his redshirt in football by playing basketball but I could be wrong.gfallscat wrote:i heard that taylor made the choice he did not to play anymore.
therefore he no longer is on the team...like i said that is what i heard (from a very good source though)
Does anyone know the answer?

Huse told us last night in Helena that it has no effect on his football redshirt. Kramer released him from practice to play basketball because of his football redshirt. The coaches are cooperating as long as Mark can keep up with school and both practices. IMO If he becomes a starter on one or both however he will have to make a choice because of the overlap.4everacatfan wrote:If that is true that is too bad nice kid. Thanks for the information it will be interesting to see how he plays with others who are at his caliber of play. That is not meant as a slam to the Senior team but Mark was pretty much a one person team last year I think his play may get better when he does not have to do it all. Any confirmation on the Taylor thing yet??Helcat72 wrote:Huse told us last night in Helena that it has no effect on his football redshirt. I just got a note from someone who confirmed Brett Taylor did quit the team last week. I must say thanks to Brett for giving it a try college is tough and D-1 ball is a time sucker. Good luck!4everacatfan wrote:Thanks for the information it will be interesting to see how he plays with others who are at his caliber of play.
