24 teams might be too many for the playoffs.MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:16 pmWondering how Lehigh won last week. They look terrible tonight.
Feeling great, MSU proved in October that they are the better team especially when playing in Bozeman. It might not be 38-7 again but MSU should be able to win by two or three scores.
Also helps that UT Mary had somewhat of a pulse. Lehigh has flatlined.
Yes! Too many, haven't watched Lehigh yet but New Hampshire wouldn't win the Frontier conference. They were terrible and a 16 seed. Crazy!Bocephus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:19 pm24 teams might be too many for the playoffs.MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:16 pmWondering how Lehigh won last week. I'm not liking having to play them again. Eck will come up with something and probably a tougher game than the first one but is what it is. Just another 1-0 week for the Cats!
16 would be too few with 10 auto bids, possibly 11 if the Ivy League starts accepting theirs. Tarleton State was absolutely deserving of a playoff spot, and would have missed out if it was still at 16. The at large bids would have gone to NDSU, USD, IL St., UC - Davis, Idaho and Nova or Rhode Island.Bocephus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:19 pm24 teams might be too many for the playoffs.MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:16 pmWondering how Lehigh won last week. Maybe we could just eliminate a few conferences from the tournament then? Pioneer and Patriot league could have their own championship.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:44 pm16 would be too few with 10 auto bids, possibly 11 if the Ivy League starts accepting theirs. Holy Cross was seeded out of the Patriot league a few years ago. They gave SDSU a game for 3 quarters in the QFs. You win your conference you deserve a bid. That's the beauty of the FCS playoffs. Until the DSUs and MSU both became elite, there was a lot more parity. Can't fault the rest of the FCS for that.Bocephus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:45 pmMaybe we could just eliminate a few conferences from the tournament then? Also Lehigh over Richmond, but those have been the only two.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:21 pmBeen a mostly upset-less tournament so far. Was UT Martin the only road team to get a win so far? If that trend continues all the way through Frisco I'd be okay with it.
