I didn't play football against him, but I did play against him in baseball and then again in college intramural softball once he transferred to MSU after he retired from football. I don't know which was more impressive, watching Jack Rolovich throw a softball or Mark hitting a softball, but both were damned impressive.LoggerCat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 8:40 pmPlayed against him in high school my sophomore season his senior year. Monster in an understatement.profisme wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 12:12 pmI know it was a bit before the national recruiting scene became as prevalent as it is now, but Mark Anderson from Lewistown has to be up there in the conversation. He was reportedly offered by Nebraska, Florida State, and a bunch of other huge programs before going to Stanford on a full-ride. He was a monster.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 9:59 amYeah Matt will likely go down as the highest recruited Montana kid...ever. As a sophomore, he lines up at wildcat QB, lines up in-line as a traditional TE, plays the H-back role well, and also lines up on the outside and beats corners. All at around 240. Again...as a sophomore.

You could be right that Ludwig will be the highest recruited Montana kid - but Matt Miller, Ryan Leaf, and Brock Osweiler were all up there. Not sure it is a quantifiable metric, but if he ends up mentioned with a group like that, that's pretty good.

Preseley just picked up an offer from Arkansas in January to go along with other P5 offers from Florida State and Arizona and possibly Washington soon since Fisch gave the Arizona offer.

Sounds a lot like Adam Corderio, He did everything in HS. Ran people over and past them.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 9:59 amYeah Matt will likely go down as the highest recruited Montana kid...ever. And didn’t Cordero win the Class B state championship in the 100 before becoming a defensive lineman at MSU?luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:51 amSounds a lot like Adam Corderio, He did everything in HS. his Junior year he won 100, 200, 4X100M relay, shot put and discus. I don't believe he sprinted his senior year.Cataholic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 11:55 amAnd didn’t Cordero win the Class B state championship in the 100 before becoming a defensive lineman at MSU?luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:51 amSounds a lot like Adam Corderio, He did everything in HS. Had a chance to see Braden Zimmer play at the state basketball tournament for Billings West. We got a good one… He is slated to play offensive line and is already 6’6”. Needs to add some weight for college lineman but he is super athletic. He is the best post player I saw all year.

i see Andrew Burrows (Hamilton) - 6'2", 250 lbs. - OL/DL is still unsigned. He is listed as the 12th best player from the state last year. Is he just done with football?

Have it from a reliable source that Thomas Buchanan (Red Lodge, '24) has joined the team as a QB effective immediately.

If they can develop him that would be awesome. I think he'll have a better shot developing elsewhere though.

I think so too. The QB room is pretty deep this year and next year. I hadn't watched Buchanan's Hudl before yesterday but he seems to move pretty well for a tall guy, maybe a tight end prospect.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 9:25 pmIf they can develop him that would be awesome. Re: 2024 Montana Recruits
I believe Buchanan was asked to join the team when a backup QB left the program. Wasn't Reed, Duchien, or Wilson. Maybe Superales?
