The only situations that remind me of that would be something like the Leon Lett mistake where he tried to recover a blocked field goal against Miami and he muffed that and then Miami recovered in the endzone for a TD.

Catdad39 wrote:good job Groves. Profisme, thanks for your quick replies...I appreciate it! I really believe that punt block first down was wrong. Can you think of a situation in any other game where you have seen that? Maybe, i don't understand what happened.
I am not watching the game but if the SAC player picked it up behind the line and ran it for a first down then that may be legal.

I am really liking Groves. This guy has been tough for us today and whenever he has gotten the chance this year (save the fumble last game).

Quite possibly, but then again, I haven't been able to listen to him because of his constant mistakes all year long.

How many yards does Groves have?

i called somebody at the stadium. I figured out what happened on the block punt. Sac state picked up the ball BEHIND the line of scrimmage and advanced it beyond the first down marker. That is the right call! Sorry for the confusion. It sounded like they just fell on the ball beyond the first down marker, which is not live.

Great TD by the offense. We needed that! We need to put these guys away!

I agree, it is time we smell blood and go for the proverbial kill.

It sounds like Kolone has played the whole game. I am a little surprised being his first game in about 6 weeks.

Thanks for the updates guys. I'm out of here to head to the AZ/UCLA game. Should be a good game down here.

It's time for the Cats to not relent and continue to pound it.

GO CATS!!!

Exactly, prof...this is where the defense has to continue to step up if they want to be praised. If they start giving up points, then they deserve the ctriticism.

What was exactly wrong with Kolone? Did he have a persistent injury or was there more going on?

I thought it was a stress fracture in his lower leg (or something similar).

Good day for Epi. His name has been called a lot, and for good reason.
