Did any of you happen to catch Blake Braun giving it to baby Bobby today on twitter? All time classic. Bobby was happy about winding down practice with a defensive turnover and Blake was quick to point out how a defensive turnover on the goal line with four seconds left and no timeouts is even better. Classic, good work Blake, give it to that hook nose.
If your left, you aren’t right.

Hey guys, I posted this in the QB update thread, but figured here was also appropriate. I’ve been attending fall camp and reporting back for R&R Cat Cast (for @CelticCat and @Common Cat), I’ve been sharing my impressions, and recorded audio, and sometimes video from the post game interviews. Re: Fall camp 2019
Bauman came from a small HS and needed more time to develop. Rovig was the Idaho 5A Player of the Year and that should translate to him being ready faster. If the reports are true on Bauman's progression, I would say that is a very rapid development from where he started. Reading between the lines and listening to the (now famous) Colter/Brooks podcast on the QB situation, it seems Rovig is losing confidence in himself and Bauman is playing with fearlessness and confidence. Choate is on record many times saying he will take the guy with the best leadership and command of the huddle, even if that means it's a freshman making typical freshman mistakes.MountainCat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 4:28 pmAdmittedly, I haven’t been to any of the practices this Fall, but during the Spring scrimmage Bauman wasn’t even close to Rovig in terms of really, well, anything... If Bauman has improved enough to be competing with Rovig and is making it tough for coaches to choose a starter, I’ll be thrilled and amazed! Honestly, with the distance between them in terms of how they looked earlier in the year, I just don’t see Bauman catching Rovig, but I would LOVE it if it’s true!! That would give us 2 quarterbacks with similar skill sets to build an offense on for the first time in a while, and we could really use some continuity to rely on......
Personally, the concept of yet anther freshman QB beating the griz in his first Brawl has appeal. There's an interesting streak that is still alive regarding freshman Cat QB's in the Brawl going all the way back to Lulay.

Didn't learn much from those interviews except that Rovig is better at interviews.
Zach must be tall. He looks as tall or taller than Bauman, who I believe is 6'6".

Coaches are on cloud 9 about the potential. Defense is going to be elite. The talent and depth on that side is going to be a nightmare for offenses this season. The timing of Kane’s return could not have been better. Elite defense with a team that has the running capability we do to control the ball and win TOP....it is going to be a great season. Expectations couldn’t be higher.

Here is the media interview with Casey. I got the the room a little late and missed the Rovig interview and the first half of Casey’s interview, but here’s what I got.

Interesting because I thought Bauman was more comfortable...I think we are in good hands either way, both will have growing pains during the first few games but I think they will have the support and trust of the team (and fans hopefully)Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 6:19 pmDidn't learn much from those interviews except that Rovig is better at interviews.
