So bobby’s remark regarding the targeting call? Do I get the impression he thinks it was not a targeting?
I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt by assuming he didn’t see a replay.
Don’t be going soft on us TomCat88
 Way too late for that! I always try to be nice to people when they're feeling down and are saying things that I don't think they really mean. It'd be cool if he walks his statement back.

My girlfriend, who used to be a Griz fan but likes the Cats now, was really upset about that play and when I told her what he said, she went ballistic. I then said that I didn't think he saw the replay or had a good view of the play. To which she replied, there's no reason for him to have said anything then and doing that sends a bad message to his players. She said the Griz players that were celebrating probably got that from him.
I think she is a keeper TomCat88…. Smart lady.

The ESPN-ification of Skyline and the race to the bottom continues. That article might be a new low. More content (and the fact "content" is the focus) is not always better. I miss the old days when Colter did the writing and was scratching and clawing to carve out a media space for himself.

@Colter_Nuanez will there be any audio content this week? I don’t want to waste my time refreshing the podcast streams if not. Usually I digest it for my data entry portion of the day at my sad job.

Oh, c'mon now.
I preferred that, too. What I did not prefer was making less than $20,000 a year, hardly being able to afford rent, working jobs as an umpire, a bar tender and at the Ridge Athletic Club at the same time just to keep the business afloat, having no hope to buy a house...

Don't hate the player. Hate the game. I don't like what journalism or media has become, either. But as Danny Sprinkle taught me: you can sit there and bitch about it and lose. Or you can embrace what the modern game is — for him, roster turnover and the portal, for us, a diversity of media that borders on or goes over the line of actual objective journalism — and try to thrive in this space.

I can say with absolute confidence we competing within the game and, I hope, winning. If you don't like the game, that's fine. Neither do I. But I would never go back to dying on the vine personally. I fought the valiant fight to keep the craft of the old ways of journalism alive for nearly two decades. It's not a fight that anybody is going to win.

Conquering the current media space, however, is a game you can win. And it comes with actual revenue that helps us bring a crew of 10-12 people to Nashville.

I'll have a column that has no swear words in it for you here this evening. In the meantime, thanks for reading!

So you want him to just work with people that are biased towards the Cats? lol. I'm actually impressed with ALL of it. I would love to see more Griz homers interviewed, in fact. But I'm seeing people like TG, Ryder, and countless other people that are biased towards the Cats, and then people like Akem, Schmidt, and others that are Griz people but can see what's actually going on. Merry Christmas everyone!

I don’t believe a gris fan wrote that article. He displayed a legitimate vocabulary and utilized words with multiple syllables.

I loved it. I thought it was great. Every cat fan has had similar thoughts over the years walking out of cat griz games. The 36-10 when we were ranked #1, my internal monologue that day would make Kyle's look tame. It was noted there was language in the piece. Imo there's some pretty high level pearl-clutching going on here.

Kyle’s story is excellent imo. He bares his soul despite how difficult it is. The only thing I was scratching my head about was how he could think UM was going to win when it went up 23-20.

That’s what makes that brief moment so absolutely beautiful and perfect chapter in the rivalry. Instead of just resigned to getting their a$$es handed to them the entire game, they had a fleeting glimmer of hope. And it was obliterated in just the matter of a few minutes. To me, in even a better way than the soul-crushers of 1997 and 2018. Those games culminated in one massive play, this game completely stole their souls and they still have to play and watch.

That was an excellent article @Colter_Nuanez you really captured all the moments and feels. Can't imagine griz fans were too impressed with it, but those who've recognized the shift sure can't argue with your points.
The Cats are on an upward trajectory, and have been. Really looking forward to them winning the Natty this year to put an exclamation point on this season!

I meant to say this to you at the R Bar on Friday, Colter. I truly and deeply admire your conviction and your integrity. When I found out you spoke truth to the power of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, I was even more happy for you. Wishing you a happy holiday and continued success. I will surely continue listening!

Colter. Curious about Hauck’s backhanded compliment to Vigen. Praising the Cat coaching staff while basically trashing our talent. I’m actually kind of shocked that nobody in the media has brought any of that up. Is he truly convinced that the Griz were more talented? Are you truly convinced that Ah Yat is better than Lamson after he got outplayed…. Twice?

Excellent as usual, Colter. I do have one gripe. The Griz DID NOT dominate the first decade of 1AA. 1978 to 1985 they won once.
