Also, let's not forget Enter Sandman from Metallica. They used to play it at games and it always got the crowd jazzed up.
Thunderstruck is the ultimate. Never went in a football game without listening to that song. Maybe they should poll the players see what gets them jacked up. Not to sound like to much of a hick but Hank Williams Jr. "A Country Boy Can Survive" has some bite and is culturally fit for MSU.

I left White Zombie's "Thunderkiss '65" off the list. Ooops.

Here is the song I was talking about - maybe a little too abrasive, but the video is even sports themed....

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

every single one of these songs would be outstanding. what needs to be played though, is clips of these songs. I hate it when they play one song and keep it going but turn it down during plays....... 1st and 10--"we built this city on rock and roll"........ incomplete pass.............2nd and 10--"rock and roll, we built this city, built this city........................3rd and 16--"we built this city"

it is so stupid. play clips that are relevent. when Force lays someone out, play Momma said knock you out by LLCool J. I love Hells Bells at kickoff, awesome. Catscratch Fever clips are always relevent. Like I said all of our ideas have relevence, but in bursts not drawn out over an opponents 3 and out.

I like the song, but let me know the first time someone with that guy's physique straps on the pads or steps into the boxing ring because I'll come out of retirement...

On a serious note, I think that all of these suggestions are great! Not that I'd expect anything less from the Nation. Now, if we can only get the message across to the AD, we'll be good.

Finally, I'd like to personally thank (not really) VegasCat for typing some of the lyrics to that God-awful Starship song. It's going to be in my head all day. So much for Friday being a great day...

:yuck:

Anyone know the actual name or artist for the "lulaaaaay, lulay, lulay, lulaaaaay" song? I know it's some kind of rugby song and must be somewhat readily available cuz I hear lots of stadiums playing it now but I can't find it. I'd like to load it on my iPod for the trip to Pokey.

I was actually just going to say the same thing. I was at the Donkey/Raider game this last weekend and that is what Denver has playing before every kickoff for them. The players on the field eat it up and the crowd goes nutbar.
That song is awesome. I've been to two Bronco games and when they play that song I feel like running down that field and hitting someone. I think that song should always be played at kickoff for every football game anywhere.

Elevation by U2 as pregame.

And this is an older one, but works too

More suggestions for our nameless faceless stadium music person.

Back in the days when I was attending MSU, I remember they played Queen's "We Will Rock You" before every basketball game. That seemed to get the fans going and would certainly be appropriate for Football as well.

Hows about "Jesus Built My Hotrod," or "Renegades of Funk?"

Found it on Lime Wire as Ole Ole - Gino Beats - Soccer Anthem

How about every time Will Clagget gets a sack/stick we play "Little Willie" by Sweet.

Every time Force makes a big play have a Star Wars clip talking about "the force"

Jumpin Jack Flash for Rolo.

Or for Jefferson we could play "movin on up".....Ok I know that's cheesy, just thinking out loud.

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

Another song that works very well for pregame:
Emerson Lake and Palmer's Fanfare for the Common Man.

5. PopoZao--K-Fed
4. Muskrat Love--Captain & Tenille
3. Wake Me Up (Before You Go-Go)--Wham!
2. Heaven I Need A Hug--R. Kelly
1. Dog and Butterfly--Heart

...just kidding. With all the strong suggestions I tried to think of some potentially awful ones besides We Built This City.

I can't believe you wrote those songs down. I can only hope the goof playing the songs doesn't read it.
