Coaching Staff-Infection...

Post by SenorWeezer » Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:33 pm

I have always liked and supported Coach Kramer and his boys, but today's game has just about pushed me over the edge! Game after game of (a lot of) stupid penalties and very UNspecial teams play is due to poor preparation and poor discipline which is a result of Poor Coaching!

C'mon, we are deep into the year and a well coached team does not make the mistakes time and time again that the Bobcats have made a science out of...!

Our defense played awesome, Rolo is really starting to click, and once again the special teams nearly lost us a game that we dominated. Unbelievable...

You took the words right off of my keyboard.

The Cats will never take the next step if they don't start doing the little things right. No team is perfect and there'll be breakdowns every now and then, but having to overcome penalties, botched kicks, 10 yd punts, etc. etc. every game is a recipe for disaster.

Every time we have the ball inside our 30 and have to punt, the only thought going through my head is "I hope our defense can defend a short field again." Not good.

As mentioned above, the fact that so many of the pieces are in place makes the errors all the more frustrating.

Last year we came from behind and won.....just to make it exciting.

This year we get a big lead and lose it at the end....just to make it exciting

Someone is trying to push us over the edge.

We certainly did make a lot of unforced errors that could have potentially cost us this game. Again and again the special teams seem to make errors. You shouldn't have to hold your breath every time a punt takes place. It is poor on both the kicking and recieving teams. Maybe Kramer should stick to what he is good at and give great interviews but look into giving up his special team coaching duties. If he does it will be the second time he has had to fire himself (he used to call the plays).

However a win is a win and you can't take that away. These kind of games used to be one's that we found a way to lose and we didn't do that today. This is a very good team that is really starting to come together. Talent wise they are untouchable. Support them any way you can this weekend cause they are going to kill Weber State.
