How do we hold Sac State to 85 total offensive yards and BARELY win the game? Outstanding job…
The "roll punt" is so revolutionary that Sac State accidentally blocked two of them...
I bet Bailey’s game plan after the half was to run the clock out.
If the Cats play like this against the Griz we will get beat badly.

How many times does Jensen have to foul up in order for DeCock to get a start?

TD "drives" = 3 yards each. Field goal "drive" = 2 yards.

I just don't think any coach is willing to yell out "put in DeCock" during a close game.

I thought Rolo played like a NC type QB in the first half. He did however start to 'dance' a little bit after the first big hit that he took. After that hit, he looked much different. Less looking downfield and happier feet. I think that SSU noticed and started to come after him.

Did the masterful Bailey take his foot off of the gas pedal at half and forget where it was in the second?
thank goodness we have an outstanding defense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Rolovich is going to be a great QB if he gets another game or two under his belt. He should really be lighting it up by the time cat/griz weekend rolls around.

Did you see are game today???

If the Griz play like they did today during Griz/Cat we'll be lucky to see 21 combined points on the board.

As long as the Cats win 11-10, I'm fine with that.

I think it will be a rare occurrence to see the Bobcats absolutely throttle teams by score.
Kramer has said that his style of coaching is to use the pass to get up early and then utilize the run to demoralize and physically punish the other team.
The punts sucked. I agree. But, where were all of you (particularly G.W. Bush) the past couple of weeks when we were pinning opponents down deep with no return? That form of punt, by the way, was used by the Griz this weekend. You do know that copying is the highest form of flattery right?

If the roll punt is so revolutionary then why isn't everyone using it? The only reason it worked in the past is because TL was doing it and there was always the threat he could run or throw it, so the coverage never pressured him.
That and he got more than four feet of air under it.
I would guess the reason GWB hasn't been around is because the same reason I haven't been around too much after wins. I don't feel an overwhelming urge congratulate a coaching staff for putting a winning team on the field, especially when that's what they get paid to do.
Let him vent. At least he has enough spine to stand up and speak his mind when he knows many people will attack him for it.

I didn't say he couldn't say it. But, I won't allow someone to blabble continuously a point that I happen to have a difference of opinion on. So, as long as it comes out of his, it comes out of mine.

is there such thing as a disappointing win?
hey, a win is a win - but i'm hoping that there are lessoned to be learned and capitolized upon - such as punt team, kicking game/long snaps, penalties and coaching (sac state's coach got them fired up at half and they were getting killed that first half - - - there was definately a let down on intensity --- says the armchair quarterback).
excellent job D - nothing more to say there, but EXCELLENT.
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I think there is a time and place for the roll punt, but not every time. Sometimes we need to just plain boot it, high and deep. I like the head high line drive punt when they are not expecting it and I think Cledus is right. There has to be a threat to run when you roll punt. When you’re in a 4th and long deep in your own territory, forget the roll punt.

The strange thing about the roll punt is that I think we are the only (or one of the only) college football teams in the country that use it out of 400 plus teams. Are we that much smarter or is Kramer stubborn?
Good win especially when you consider our top two backs played very little (and there is a big drop off to Taito), Rolo got his first start which he needed but it was his FIRST real consistant playing time. This game keeps us in contention for the BSC championship and it gives us a win while learning more about what works for this team. I am more optomistic then ever about ISU next week.

I have been watching the roll punt this year and I have been worried. Rolovich does not get any height on the ball and he runs foward to much which makes it easy to block. Why none of his punts were blocked, I do not know. We put in a punter and you can see the results.
