Cats looked like they belonged in the second half. Still gotta somehow get bigger in the trenches. Scottre was so close to breaking a big run but the line couldn’t quite get through on the blocks.

That might be his legacy. Great coach but all time terrible decision.

A little reminiscent of Idaho last year. Couldn’t get going in the first half. Dang.

Not a chance. Playoffs? Sure. Nashville? Nope.

Pretty shocking that they didn't try to win the game on a Taco punt return. Wasn't that by far their best chance? Hmm.

It’s not fun but I’d rather support this amazing university and our boys then the gay ass griz or even these bison. I’m proud of how far we’ve come. I’m so used to misery that it’s like, here we go again. I hurt for Tommy and the team. Thank you boys for the high expectations and the sad ending. The griz are happy being losers weeks ago.

What a season. What an effort. Amazing day to be a Bobcat, despite failing just short. Mellott was unreal in the second half. Obviously, I’m disappointed. But damn it was fun for 20 minutes.

They would have punted it out of bounds.

It wasn’t the line that stopped Scottre, it was the safety who never missed a tackle. Good on him, but Scottre had 2 scores taken away by good tackling!Bocephus wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 9:21 pmCats looked like they belonged in the second half. I don't even feel sad right now, just proud to have experienced the best season of Bobcat football I'm old enough to remember.utucats wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 9:25 pmIt’s not fun but I’d rather support this amazing university and our boys then the gay ass griz or even these bison. I was thinking we had John Cena back to return it…

Which would've stopped the clock
Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Probably but still I think at least trying for a punt return was their best chance to pull off a miracle.

Merry Christmas to you too, and a happy New Year. But, if you think we're getting back here next year without a QB and without some of the best defensive players in the FCS, you're dreaming. Oh, and without Scottre...and Rohan...and....

Then we'd still at least have a hail Mary. But no, Vigen chose to give up. I wonder why.

Re: The most unofficial Bobcat gameday thread - North Dakota State, National Championship
It was a coaching decision to not put Taco back on that last punt, and it’s on Vigen…as was the call to for it on 4th down at the end of the second quarter. He has some soul searching to do, BUT, this game was not lost on those 2 plays. We left points and plays on the field and the Defensive staff adjusted well but were found vulnerable with that open middle that cost us the 7 points we needed.
