Figured it would sounds like that considering they cut it out. We might’ve won a small battle but we got a big war coming up.

He’s now won three POYs. Walter Payton, Walter Camp and Athletic Directors (ADA). A consensus pick.

Tommy Mellott has done everything any of us could ask of a kid representing MSU. He is simply amazing and we are all lucky to have witnessed his unbelievable college career. We get him for one more game. No matter what happens tomorrow night, it’ll be bitter sweet to see Tommy play for the Cats for the last time.

I was at a bar/restaurant here in Dallas and when the word spread that Tommy won the award, everyone cheered, even people who didn’t know Tommy. Pretty cool experience.

Jon Kasper tweeted a video of his mom's reaction when he won. That was cool too.

I just love how excited his team is for him. Just loving his success.

They said on the live awards that he won over Cam by 16 votes. Haven’t seen the totals though.

In the end it wasn't really all that close. 28 1st or 2nd place votes for Tommy and 22 for Cam. Miller was left off more ballots completely than Tommy was, but Lambson in third place actually got two more total votes than Tommy did.

Eight voters had Mellott fourth or lower. At least eight, maybe more. 37 people voted for him in the top five, but there are at least 39 voters.
