It was the correct outcome in the end but damn, have to figure out how to not be in the that situation at the end of the game. There were several opportunities to make plays. Definitely made the final two plays to complete the victory and closing out a game against a top four team, on the road is huge. GO CATS!

On the other hand, the Cats were able to win because of all the plays they did make in the first 3 1/2 quarters to have that 22 point lead that barely held up. That's a once in a lifetime comeback by Davis and fortunately for MSU they fell one play short. Move on to the next game and learn from what happened tonight!

4th and 1 should have been a tight heavy left package, davis off tackle and mellott keeps it and sprints right to the sideline.

We absolutely were not game planning to run Tommy at all. Was not expecting that. Although I will stay say, Scottrie has a huge gain of not scores the first play of Tommy doesn’t keep it.

Some definite problems with play down the stretch, but the bottom line is only a terrible defensive PI call in the endzone kept his from being a 30-8 walkover.

As it was we had some adversity, a gut check, some bad bounces, and we still came out with the Road W to go 11-0.

Next week is gonna bit lit.

They allowed hands on all night...but decided to call it in the endzone.

And they never called holding on Davis as Grebe was dragged around all game, blocked from behind and held… crickets. But, okay, Crews and Iddins got the wealth from all that attention!

That said, this game was not nearly as close as the final score. Had the refs not called the phantom PI in the end zone on 4th down, that’s a turnover and the game is probably over 30-8.

And missed an egregious offensive PI on the long play after we punted. Almost cost us the game.

Football is a game of bounces and momentum and boy did were we on the wrong end of all of them in the final 5 until McCade saved the day. Defense was gassed but if Julius gets a few more yards none of this madness happens. It's a weird sport but the number one objective is to win and we did. Griz week!

Yeah we had them completely on the ropes until midway through the 4th. They had about 40 plays go perfectly for them to have a chance. Yeah maybe we should have gone for that 4th down but we'd be holding them on d for almost the whole night and limiting big plays. This will be a good lesson to all the guys how important every play can be.

Our play calling goes soft, we think it’s in the bag and then that crap happens. That said, if that game was played in Bozeman, I think we win by 30 points. If we don’t show up next weekend and don’t get home field all the way through the playoffs, we could be in some trouble. At home, I don’t think we can be stopped.

Why would he have gotten injured? He could have ran for 10 yards and slid. It was so open because it was obvious we were handing it to Davis.

LOL. You take every opportunity to go negative and would have destroyed the coaches if Tommy got hurt. It's not as easy to avoid taking a hit as you seem to think.

Never a doubt. Should have called a fair catch on that onside kick.

I don't think you can do that if it hits the ground first.

Section 4, Article 1, f: During a free kick a player of the receiving team in position to receive the ball has the same kick-catch and fair-catch protection whether the ball is kicked directly off the tee or is immediately driven to the ground, strikes the ground once and goes into the air in the manner of the ball kicked directly off the tee.


Not sure if that kick was “immediately driven into the ground, strikes the ground one and goes into the air”.
