2000 Season Stats
This is how far we have come. The attendance figures are "tickets sold" not butts in the seat. Example: The Cal State game had an announced attendance the next day of 790. Yes, I am not missing a zero. (790). And it didn't look like that many. Average home attendance (tickets sold) was 7047. Butts in the seats was probably about 75% or 80% of that.

I'd be interested to see the difference between '02 and '03 after the streak ended.

Re: 2000 Season Stats
I was one of those 790. That was my freshmen year. I don't think I went to all the games, but I remember going to Northridge because I didn't know it existed before that week. Man we were awful in Kramer's first year. Whoever was the QB couldn't complete a pass to save his life. If it wasn't for Rino and Cooper, I doubt those games would've been as close as they were.
There's the truth, and then there's what's reported in the papers.

My first year as a season ticket holder. Something good came out of that mess.

I remember that Kramer also brought in a WR/PR transfer he hyped up named Marcel Dunn. He was definitely fast but the slight problem was he couldn't catch the ball before being able to run with it!The Butcher wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 4:56 pmThe QB was one of Kramer’s less than exciting transfers- Farhaad Azimi.

Re: 2000 Season Stats
My freshman year was 2002. I remember we were eating in Miller dining hall and they had the Cats game on the TV. We then realized it was a home game so we finished our lunch and walked up to the stadium. We were able to get seats in the student section on the 50 yard line about 10 rows up.
Once Kramer switched to Lulay, something changed. The level of interest went up and especially after Cat/gris, there was a fire lit.

Marcel's main challenge was maintaining his grades. Despite the best efforts of both Marcel and his tutors, they were unable to keep him academically eligible.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 9:53 pmI remember that Kramer also brought in a WR/PR transfer he hyped up named Marcel Dunn.
