Massey has the Cats SOS at #25. #25 out of 150 is perfectly reasonable.

Um… No, Massey doesn’t have the cats at #25.
Either way, SOS doesn't mean crap. Its made up and changes constantly. Tell me what on SDSU's schedule had their SOS 50 spots higher than ours entering this week? Was it the win over DII Augustana? Stop short changing this team.
Did you read my posts? I’m 100% not short changing this team. I’m cocked and locked for Frisco! Bought plane tickets today. The first team D is lights out statically wise. Offense is clicking and Tommy is doing the things we have wanted in previous years. I’m simply pointing out… We haven’t played anyone good. I think Idaho was mid level when we played them. I think UC Davis will be the same outcome. Sac we blow out… Eastern Washington should be an another opportunity for the 3rd stingers! I simply don’t think we have played anyone decent team and don’t think we will until round 2 of the playoffs. It’s ok to except we are good, and also acknowledge we haven’t played anyone good.
Then who have the DSUs played that are decent.
Each other?
So 1 team?
NDSU has played Colorado, North Dakota, and SDSU.

SDSU has played Oklahoma State, and NDSU.
SDSU beat UIW to give them their only ranked win thus far
Watching the SDSU/NDSU game, they're still bigger stronger and faster than we are...especially with our injuries. We're good, but they seem on another level still.
I think this is just PTSD from past matchups. I didn’t think that at all. I felt that offensively both teams last night were not nearly as talented or dynamic as the Cats. Defense was about equal.

Bad day to bet Jones +75 😔
If you did that, you can scan your ticket. The bet should be void due to him not playing.

Cats are legit! Just pointing out the back ground noise about our strength of schedule. It isn’t good thus far. Keep winning, and I expect we will, it won’t make a difference. Hope your rooms and tickets for Frisco are in order! Mine are.

UIW is decent. They are part that group of teams from #4 to #20 that include teams like Davis, Idaho, UM. Playoff worthy but most likely qtrs is their ceiling. Handled NAU better than the gris and Idaho did. Judging by this comment you haven’t watched 1 min of UIW play have you?

Interesting, I came out of it with the exact opposite opinion after watching MSU steamroll Idaho and PSU the last two weeks. The 2023 Bobcats took both NDSU and SDSU down to the final play and to my eye the 2024 team is signficantly better right now in all three phases than that team was at this point in the season.
Yeah totally agree. Especially at home i think we could beat either. NDSU showed some vulnerability to the run and SDSU made a lot of boneheaded mistakes. I think we are at least on par and it would come down to a mental game. This team has to know how close they were last year and be itching for another chance.

I agree with this. Neither OL is as good as the Cats. SDSU is the better team in my opinion, and ran the ball well against NDSU. Lots of penalties and an inability to convert on 3rd down really doomed them. NDSU is good, but not great on either side of the ball.

Probably mentioned, but Daily looked as good as Vigen advertised him to be. He’s really progressed since the start of the season.

What MSU did to Chachere was nothing short of amazing.
@Wazzu: 175 and 29
@Weber: 61 and 57
@Boise: 126 and 76
@Tenn-Chatt: 305 and 41
Vs UC Davis: 259 and 38
@ISU: 216 and 202
Vs MSU: 64 and 4 (msu was w/o Schmidt, Uluilakepa, Dowler, Bryce, and Polidore)
Seems like Daily has such a huge upside. Something he brings to the table is pure size and reach. He's long and I'm sure we can get some more meat on his bones. Danny U plays with great instinct, but he's quite small. Daily looks more like those NDSU and SDSU guys-doesn't he? Maybe a glimmer of a silver lining-especially since Danny U is here to help teach those instincts to Daily. Still wish we had Danny though, but I'm less concerned now.

From my eye they just appear faster than we did today, it's hard to gauge the Idaho game without going back and watching it but the Cats were impressive that day. Just watching the game last night the speed of NDSU's front is ridiculous. we're going to need to be healthy and firing on all cylinders to take them down imo.

Agreed. I kinda figured Daily would do better than anyone expected just because of the way Vigen was talking about him. Obviously no one knew he would end up starting.

The other thing was I didn’t notice any mess ups in getting lined up so I assume O’Reilly did a good job there.

With Bryce Grebe getting an extra week off MSU should be in good shape.

I watched the game on tv but they never really showed the crowd. However, some of MSU’s highlights you can see a good crowd. How many MSU fans were there?

2/3? Attendance per espn was 3100, so I'd say around 2000

An one point they panned through the crowd for an extended amount of time and the only way you could tell it was a road game was that the Bobcat fans weren't packed together as tightly as they would be at home. At the last second they showed a section that had PSU fans in it.

And it was homecoming with special recognition given to some past players. That is embarrassing. PSU admin really needs to get something done about playing back downtown.
