1-0

Post by nanacat » Mon Oct 14, 2024 7:36 am

I think the 1-0 perspective has been huge for the team this year. Tommy, and Ty both made comments in their interviews recently that they got a little ahead of themselves last year and it bit them. Taking each game as the focus rather than looking ahead too far has been so good. Now hopefully that mindset will continue this week as they play a "not good" team that could prove to be giant killers if the Cats don't keep that focus. Saturday's win was epic in that it was so dominate in every way. It would be typical to have a let down game this week. I do, however, think between the coaches doing it right, and the team having the 1-0 mentality, they'll be okay.

PSU is dead last in the FCS allowing 566.5 yards per game. Playing Washington State and Boise State has contributed to that, but MSU should be able to score a lot of points on Saturday unless they stop themselves too often. PSU is good on offense and will score some points but the only way I see this being a close game is if MSU is -2 or worse on turnover margin.

This team is built to win on the road. Dominate defense can play home, away or at a neutral site. There won’t be a let down. The Cats will win on Saturday.

I don't expect a let down game against PSU, I just know sometimes it happens. I didn't make it will well, but my point was that with the 1-0 mentality it's less likely, as the team isn't looking past anyone because they're not looking too far ahead, compared to last year when they did. Pretty certain the 2s and 3s will see alot of time again on Saturday.

I don't think Chachere is going to go off for over 400 yards on our defense
216 passing w/ 3 tds
202 rushing w/ 3 more tds

He had an unbelievable day but next week will be different

We have a Big Sky fantasy league, he would have earned 58.84 points, but was on my bench.
